25.01.2022 Hello everybody! Firstly, apologies for not being in touch for the last few weeks. We were mysteriously locked out of our Facebook account for several weeks and not able to access it at all, whatever we tried. This also meant that we haven’t been able to check any messages sent on Messenger, so again we apologise if we didn't respond to you. Some of you may have noticed that keeping consistent stock levels of some staple items in the shops has been somewhat of a challenge th...e last few months. A lot of our suppliers are facing challenges with high demand, low stock levels and working with COVID restrictions in place, so turnaround times for orders have been significantly longer, coupled with much higher demand than normal, causing popular items to sometimes be out of stock for long periods. Rest assured that we are working hard to try and consistently supply you with all of your favourite items and will try and keep you updated on time-frames to the best of our ability. In store news, we have a bunch of new products, so we want to share a few of them with you. Still Spirits Classics Crafter's Cut Bourbon. $13.50 ea Inspired by the hugely popular Maker's Mark, this bourbon flavouring produces a rich and fruity spirit with toasted oak and honey on the nose, a smooth, sweet and spicy taste, and a warm lingering finish. Mangrove Jacks Craft Pouches - Brut IPA (Limited Edition). $34.90 ea Brut IPA is a new and trending style of IPA that has all of the normal American IPA characteristics, but ferments really dry much like Brut Champagne. This style combines the hoppiness of an IPA with the crisp, refreshing drinkability of a lager. This Brut IPA kit comes with a unique yeast and glucoamylase enzyme which ferments out the maltotriose leaving the beer with no residual sugar. The kit makes an 18 litre batch at 6.5% ABV, and comes with 25g each of Azacca and Mosaic hops for dry hopping. Brew By You will be offering free freight for retail orders over $30... to be delivered in the local Hobart, Launceston, Devonport & Burnie areas, and $10 freight for all other parts of Tasmania. 17.01.2022 New Spirit Bottles, and 4 Litre jars have returned! We now have in stock some new 750ml Spirit Bottles, in either the classic tall whiskey bottle style, or the short round bottle similar to a lot of the contemporary gins. They come with a cork stopper and are both $4.90 each. And we're pleased to announce the much anticipated return of our 4 litre jars. These are perfect for soaking chips, fruit, sloes, making Limoncello etc. They come with a plastic lid, and the great news ...is that they are still only $8.90 each. Both are available now in both stores, get in quick as they're going fast!

13.01.2022 Opening Hours - Hobart Show Day - Thursday 22 October Hi folks, a couple of you have asked whether our Moonah store is going to be open on Hobart Show Day next Thursday the 22nd. I'm happy to advise that we will be open, but with the slightly truncated operating hours of 9:00am - 4.00pm. I am however sad to advise that we will not be selling Bertie Beetle showbags ... 10.01.2022 Have You Thought About Your Christmas Needs?? Christmas is just over 5 weeks away, so if you want to be enjoying a few of your own handcrafted beers, ciders, ginger beer, lemonade, sarsparilla, fruit wines or spirits at the Christmas table, you better get cracking! Most things are going to be a week or 2 in the drum, and take a couple of weeks to get fizzy, so if you like your frothies frothy, the clock is ticking. If you're looking to make something in particular, we're happ...y to make recipe recommendations, put together a kit or provide advice to try and make your brewing as successful and enjoyable as possible. And if you're looking for a present for a special someone, we're happy to try and find something that they will enjoy, otherwise we can do gift vouchers to any value. Seriously though, it's mid November, so anything brewed now is going to have around 4 weeks to carbonate, or for spirits, a month to age and improve. So no pressure, but you better get on to it!! We have our Christmas spirit bottles on the way and should arrive shortly, but another cool idea below is to give people some homemade REINBEERS!!!

09.01.2022 New Items - Edwards Liqueur Essences - Espresso Martini and Kwontro Orange - $8.90 ea Australian company Edwards Essences have released 2 exciting new liqueur essences. Their new Kwontro is an orange liqueur that is less sweet, but much stronger and zestier than their current 50 ml orange liqueur. It is ... likely to appeal to those who love the orange tang of commercial brands. Any resemblance to commercial names, living or dead is merely coincidence The Espresso Martini has real coffee extracts and will appeal to those people who love very strong coffee espresso style flavours. It differs from the illusive "Expresso" martini in that it is, in fact, a real word. Both available in both stores now. Edwards Liqueur Essences - Espresso Martini and Kwantro - $8.90 ea

08.01.2022 New and Improved - Icon Liqueur Pouches - Now make 1 litre and in Bottles! $9.90 ea Still Spirits have made some changes to their Icon range of premixed liqueurs. Firstly, the whole range has gone from being in the black pouches to now being in a 375ml glass bottle. The new bottles now make a litre (in stead of 750ml), so you can still fill a 700ml bottle then put the remainder back in the container that it came in for gifts, camping, or an emergency stash. The second change ...is that the Shamrock Cream that was previously in 2 parts (the flavouring, then the powdered cream base) is now ready mixed in 1 convenient bottle. The third change is that there are 2 new flavours in the range - a Melon Liqueur and a Chocolate Rum. Icon Melon Liqueur: A distinctive green liqueur flavouring with the refreshing taste of sweet, luscious melon. Icon Chocolate Rum: A luxurious flavouring blend of dark rum and indulgent chocolate with subtle sweet vanilla notes. The fourth change is that they have decided to drop the Coffee Maria and Peach Schnapps lines, however these are both still available in the small Still Spirits Top Shelf bottles. So in summary, Icon Liqueurs are now in bottles, make a litre, the shamrock cream is premixed, there's 2 new flavours and 2 have been retired. They are $9.90 each, or 3 for $27.00, so given that they make more and come with a reusable bottle represent even better value. There may be a period where we have some old and some new stock so thank you in advance for your patience with this.
