18.01.2022 Brewarrina Central School this week gained a new outdoor learning area with yarning circle for staff and students to enjoy It all started with a 3D concept de...sign from our in-house designer using a mix of natural stone blocks and boulders , mulch , plants , bent steel edging in the shape of animal footprints , crushed granite for the base and engravings into sandstone and granite by the very talented Robert and Michelle Mackay once again Kynan Heatherill a very creative year 12 student from the school also was engaged for his artworks to go into the stone works which came up beautiful ( great work mate ) Another big shoutout to teacher Missy Nicholls for her help with the fish trap design and Melissa Kirby also for her help with Ngemba Heritage Language translation for the stone works you’re a legend Melissa and students after completion also made up some ochre to paint of the stone to add some colour ( see attached pics ) Big thank you to all involved for this collaboration

14.01.2022 Year 3 have been putting together their own cookbook over the past few weeks. Students have all illustrated their own front cover and worked together to find the best recipes. Today we made one of the recipes and gave some to other classes to taste test! Big thank you to Aunty Sherrie and Aunty Jen for their awesome cooking and decorating skills
13.01.2022 Year 3 used puppets this afternoon to role play different emotions and feelings. Students had to work in groups to role play different scenarios, identifying positive ways to deal with conflict.
