10.01.2022 and now to some of the work happening here at the shed I’ve always liked to dabble in various media (this shot is from Pinterest and another artists work in willow ) I am using branches from our farms pruned plum trees When we first arrived here nearly three years ago we knew all the established fruit trees were overdue for pruning ,plum ,japotacaba,nativeapple ,macadamia,mulberry ,fig and tomatillo ,the plum canes and branches are nice to work with and I hope will give me... the effect I’m after in my wild woman figure do I know what I’m doing .... ,no but learning as I go #newskills #weavingbranches #wildwomanofcooran @ Mount Cooran

08.01.2022 Some echinacea magic for you Be well Victoria ,stay safe at this time of Covid , we have a son and partner in Melbourne , wearing masks and powering down Meanwhile here in Queensland I am working on combining my two businesses,Dyepot and preelove together ,including instagram accounts . fine tuning favourite silk garments ,hand dyed of course together in timeless designs . A lot of hands on work with my new machines and plenty of my favourite hand stitching on recycled si...lk ,linens and also using up discontinued fabric stashes I have not been on the socials too much as I’ve been using this time to think plan future possibilities . I am enjoying the practical methodical meditation of being outside on our farm ,planting and farming sustainably with near organic and permanent culture practices Yes in This weather we grow a lot weeds too but we mulch and take care of our souls ,no pesticides . In Three years the bird life is now extraordinary as are our Kanga friends who have moved in around the Billabong Plenty of veggie growing ,new dye crops ,coriopsis and sunflowers and will be planting some more indigo and woad as well all in an effort to beat the rapid advancement of A short Spring into full on Summer when it is just too hot to do all you want to in the fields seems early but hey it’s all about weeding ,mulching planting new beds and Summer proofing the Farm Our girls ,the chooks ,are in full production ,the Egg Yolks are a fab colour They love their straw bale bedding with all the cut herbs for fragrance mixed with fresh cut grass ,they are too funny Anyway I promise next time more garment reveals but for now much love and stay all x See more
