25.01.2022 https://www.facebook.com/7NEWSBrisbane/videos/987657217913797/?t=16 Legionella bacteria thrive in warm water. To make sure those nasty bugs can't live in your plumbing system, water should be piping hot in the storage tank but tempered to a safe temperature to be used at the taps. Call Brian 0429 888 082 to check your system

22.01.2022 It’s a good job l use a rubber pick axe and shovel when digging on underground leaks. Service distancing wasn’t observed when the telco, electrician and plumber all decided to lay all their conduits and pipes together in the same trench. This very poor way of laying underground services makes a future straight forward repair potentially lethal. No self respecting plumber would do such a thing so l guess the other guys must have snuck their conduits in under his water pipe after he had left site?

21.01.2022 Sufferin Succotash. Pesky mouse nibbled though the dishwasher hose and flooded the kitchen.

14.01.2022 The copper pipe on the left is from a house near the beach and has been exposed to sea spray. The unprotected copper pipework in the property has now failed and requires replacement. The pipe on the right is of a similar age but wasn’t exposed to the corrosive salts.

12.01.2022 Always nice to get a thank you note especially in these electronic days

10.01.2022 Seemed to smile for the camera whilst having its photo taken for the insurance company. This split flexible connection in a vanity unit managed to flood the en-suite and bedroom before the owners could turn the water off. New ones are made of a more robust material with a leak free 15 year warranty

09.01.2022 A reminder of the good old days when jointing copper pipes was done with an oxyacetylene torch (and a fire truck on standby).

09.01.2022 Whodunnit time Looking down a drain and finding that around 800mm of the top of the pipe is missing, have my doubts it’s flushed downstream. Stay tuned and all will be revealed (as I’ll be digging it out next week)

06.01.2022 Found this wonderful work of art whilst sorting through some old papers. Still lovin the plumbin but now wear more suitable clothing and have definitely filled out a bit!

06.01.2022 Friendly python keeping me company this morning

05.01.2022 I get the feeling that this kookaburra has no respect for the rotating head scare owl with realistic eyes

04.01.2022 It’s quite normal to shed up to 100 strands of hair a day, as there are around 100,000 follicles on the average persons head it’s not a problem, so says the experts. I bet they’ve never seen a monstrous hairball retrieved from a shower drain though
