17.01.2022 Okay a post in two parts: Part 1: the exciting part I am negotiating with Triple H to bring my show back. Life has settled a bit and I hope to relaunch in November 2021. In 2022, I hope to have the show as a national podcast on the Community Radio Network.... Also, in 2022 (when I finish university studies), I would like to set up a dedicated podcast devoted solely to independent Aussie music chock full of music, interviews, reviews etc. This one might be logistically difficult as I will not be able to use AMRAP content on the internet (due to licensing issues). It would mean that artists would have to provide their own tracks etc for me to use. This is why I need more think time. Part 2: a more detailed explanation of my absence. This is a difficult part to write, but given how much you have supported my show, I feel the need to be open and honest. My daily gig is a self-employed mental health counsellor/clinical hypnotherapist. Now in these troubled times you would think I would be busy, but as we are not registered with Medicare, my business started to crumble; and being in a rural area other employment is hard to get-and harder for me (see below). We like everyone else worried about where the money was coming from. Then, one of my adult children had a significant medical diagnosis (not COVID). And I live with mental health issues due to a brain injury sustained in the 1990s when I was a police officer. Add to this some other personal issues, it all got too much, and I did what I normally do-walked away. I am not a creative like you folk, so had nowhere to deal with it all. Now, after some time and distance, I have set about making sure I have two days a week to myself. This means I can take the requisite time out and enjoy the music. Thanks for your time.
17.01.2022 Today on the AMRAP All Aussie Music Show, on Triple H 96.5 FM Horsham, we will open with Apricot Ink, and then into the Regional Top 10. After that, we will hear from some great bands including: Fingerless, Jack Davies and the Bush Chooks, Larsen, Jess & Matt, Michael Carpenter and The Banks Brothers, Natalie D-Napoleon Music, amongst many others. We will finish with a lovely track by Anna Papij. So tune in and chill out.
10.01.2022 Today on the AMRAP All Aussie Music Sow on Triple H 96.5 FM Horsham we are having a blues and jazz session. We kick off with Jazzparty and then into the Regional Top 10. The we have Jeremy Costa, MD Horne's Last Call, Apollo's Attic, Harry James Angus, a double by Millar Jukes, The Immaculate Crows, The Weeping Willows to name just a few.... We will finish off with Low Ambition Day by Russell Bacon Media. So tune in and chill out at 3 pm for 2 hours of great Aussie music.
04.01.2022 On AMRAP All Aussie Music show on Triple H 96.5 FM Horsham, we will open with HipHop01 by Sunset, and then into the Regional Top 10. Around 4pm we will be chatting Dave from The City Views. If the technological gods allow it, we will stream it on Facebook live. Just the interview though. We can't play music on Facebook. Then we are going to playa heap of great Aussie music including Josh Orange, Sandee Facy, Spy v Spy, Boy On A Hill, Empire Within, One More Weekend, Leotte..., and finishing with Michael Waugh. So, if you can hear us, tune in and chill out between 3 and 5 pm today (Sunday).
03.01.2022 Hi, I have stepped away from community radio as I had too many things to do, and was getting no time for myself. I will make an announcement when I return as I do miss the great Aussie Music I showcase. Brian
