08.01.2022 Ever notice how you and your bestie sync cycles Did you know way back when that all the women use to cycle together Yep. Your period was such a sacred time. When a woman was in bleed week she use to join the other women (generally around the time of the new moon, when you can’t see the moon in the sky) They would congregate together to rest & flow & create. As a sisterhood. Cooking delicious meals to nurture their magical bodies. Men wo...uld leave them alone. What a bonus Women; considered SACRED Goddesses, worshipped for bringing life to the world. Women ARE sacred. Life bringers. Creators. And here you are hating your period because it causes an inconvenience in your corporate job. Fuck that. Embrace it sister. 07.01.2022 Content AF after I had 7.5 hours sleep last night! Do you look at your health, training and diet as an experiment? I do! I like to observe and be aware of what happens to my body, mind, emotions AND my cycle when I change things up. Everything (for the most part) is a conscious decision. Lately I’ve been so excited by life I can’t sleep.. running on caffeine and adrenaline. Can’t put my phone down, can’t turn the mind off etc Last night I made myself a promise to be asleep b...y 9pm so I could wake for work at 4.15am feeling fresh. And so I did. The fact I kept my own word, The fact I committed to my experiment, The fact I got the result I wanted made me one content little vegemite! I drove home this morning from my classes feeling beyond my regular gratitude, my mind was so much more clear, I could see the energy in the trees! My appreciation for the sky, the mountains, the sounds.. it was exponential. I felt high. Good sleep is imperative for Mental health, it’s imperative for emotional health and in the physical imperative in helping us see results. I try to manipulate my sleep depending on what phase the moon is in and where I’m at in my cycle. Getting enough sleep & good sleep at that will make you feel like a new person. A few things I do to wind down to ensure a good nights sleep.. take a hot bath with magnesium, switch my phone off by 8pm, diffuse my oils, listen to slow yoga music, 10 belly breaths, journal, have my blinds and windows open to see the stars and feel the breeze, drink a raw cacao drink with my Reishi mushies, cuddle my dogs What are you going to do to help you sleep better??
