25.01.2022 A SENSITIVE BUT WILLING HEART Listen to your heart To help someone with their day It’s what gives you pleasure... In a special kind of way! Attending to the small things What the elderly find quite big Like sewing on a button When they want to do it quick! So don’t take anything for granted As you age years seem to fade Reflections of a photo Where changes can’t be made! 25.01.2022 SHATTERED DREAMS When your whole world stops and you can’t go on When your dreams are shattered and fear has won When music is what will help you get through ... Then vibrations and lyrics will start to ring true! Delete all the doubts you have in your mind The beach is a place where you can unwind Stress and panic will pass on and fade Don’t use your hands, instead use a spade! Think positive, stay strong, because I’m your coach Take one day at a time, that you’ll have to approach I’m glad you tried music, it’ll help you forget The pain and unhappiness for a long time yet! In all confidence be true to yourself I’m your psychologist, you have a lot of wealth By that I mean there’s goodness inside So explore your heart, don’t damage your pride! 25.01.2022 I’M NOT JUST ANYBODY, I’M SOMEBODY! I’m not a chapter in someone’s book Or one of the worlds greatest cooks I won’t by any means be taken for granted ... I’ve got to keep my work up to standard! I’m not the general dogs body I’m a person, not just anybody And I won’t be pushed around Or be made fun of like a clown! I’d like to be appreciated A thank you wouldn’t go a stray I’d be the topic of conversation With my cleaning every day! 22.01.2022 DISABILITY IS ONLY WHAT YOU MAKE IT What I want to achieve There’ll always be possibilities And what I’m able to do ... That’s called ability! If you’re born without limbs Others might judge So what! If I’m in a wheelchair! Why hold a grudge! I’m in the sitting position Though I wish I could stand Please don’t pity me Or hold my hand! Head injury or not, I was born just like you Everybody’s different And in my case it’s true! I’m a person inside Though you only see out And what you don’t know, Is what I’m about! 21.01.2022 PHASES OF THE MOON The moon and the stars are kept in place As a rocket ship takes you into space Look out for that cow who jumped over the moon ... And that dish who ran away with the spoon! The pull of the moon keep the tides in place And you can’t catch a fish in a hot air balloon But you can say, you’ve been there and done that And in conversation say, that’s a fact! Each step you take is of an earthly kind Whatever’s in space is what you’ll find Imagine if everything was done in slow motion What a life we’d lead, what a commotion! I put my head on the pillow before going to sleep Saw the stars and the moon instead of counting sheep I dreamt of Mars being so far away And was there life? I won’t know till the day! 16.01.2022 SEEING THINGS FROM A CHILDS POINT OF VIEW A feather floats gracefully, until a gust of wind Carries it on a journey, no end! It’s not aware on where it’s going... Or where it’ll end up soon But now it’s getting dark, and I can see the moon! We teach our children It’s a whirlwind It’s the particles and dust, my friend! If you get close, you’ll get dust in your eyes I’d stay back, now that’s wise! It’s the little things we think of, that children see big Keep those fingers away! It’s MY plant not a twig! But we have to think Basic when there’s children around To give them the right answer, so they’ll wear the crown! So please take into consideration, the little things that count, Because they’ll slowly stack up, and quickly amount Kids are quick off the mark, with what they know best Until they hear different, you won’t get a rest! 15.01.2022 OUT OF THIS WORLD Collect all those happy thoughts And turn them into dreams Then everyone can have their own world ... But to enjoy just let off steam! Let go of grudge and anger That you’ve been holding onto for all these years I say you face looks quite a mess Here’s a handkerchief, now dry those tears! It’s where memories come to life And take place in the back of your mind Those thoughts aren’t yet reality But soon they’ll start to unwind! 14.01.2022 TRUST Trust is always a two way street Real friends you’ll find, don’t cheat! When asking for money, I’ll pay you back!... I’ll believe it when I see it, Jack! Trust is really giving your oath Being reliable,there’s trust in you both A secret of which sounds complete Trust is an oath you carry out It’s being obedient like a scout! 11.01.2022 WORDS When talking your thoughts You’d say what you think And if you’re choked up ... You should get a drink! Some words are used to get the message across A battle of views, won’t make you the boss We make sounds from when we’re very young Using tongue and cheeks and also the gums! Vocal chords are where vibrations take place It states on the form your Colour and race Asking the question or stating the a place Whatever you put; it isn’t a waste! The futures not known We can only speculate Somewhere there’s an answer That we can create! Now the plot of discussion Is taking it all in And the road to success Is how you begin! 10.01.2022 SPECIAL PEOPLE It takes a special person, with kindness in the heart And very gentle persuasion, is often where you start When taking away uncertainties that really clutter the mind ... Good ideas and feel good thoughts leave all of that behind! I’m that glimmer of hope, Yes the angel that shines through For those who feel the strain of life and want to start a new If suddenly things take a tumble, and again you’re feeling blue It’s no use being on your own, when hate is eating you! So, cheer yourself up when speaking, your smile is really worthwhile Yes it happens quite often, so make sure you do it with style See you’ve gained personality, and that’s a well-earned grin When you walk and start to talk, then I can see your chin! Well now my work on earth is done, I think I’ll have a seat I just hope whoever I helped, can stand on their own two feet Everyday I see life as a positive, I’ve got a point of view This page is part of an open book and what I’ve said is true! 10.01.2022 SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST Wings of an eagle, feathers in flight As she’s spiralling down it looks like a kite With a sharp beak, it’s what they tear best... To bring back to their chicks, in their warm nest! Eagles are the king of the skies As they hover above, you hear their cries Sometimes these birds fly close to the ground When their preys caught there isn’t a sound! They build their nests so high in the trees Some build on cliffs where there’s plenty of breeze And some, they like to sit on the fence But when they find food, it’s then past tense! When it comes to the end of a very long day Just think yourself, you’re alive and not prey, I’d warn others with a distinct cry, There’s danger above so run fast or die! 08.01.2022 LOVE Love is patient, love is kind Love will give you peace of mind When you seek, you’ll surely find ... Those feelings of stress will unwind! You won’t get that feeling of stress Then you’ll look and feel your best When conversation is on an even par Her charm will reward you with a star! Then you’ll feel good and think you’re ace And the dress she wore was in good taste When she speaks her spoken word Make sure she listens so you’ll get heard! Two hearts together speed up the pace When two souls collide, they don’t give chase Soul mates are truly a match made in Heaven As the Bibles read you’ll hear Number seven! 07.01.2022 DRAWING THE LINE Trashy thoughts blow the mind That’s why this world is so unkind Bad thoughts said, bring on a frown... And turns this world upside down! Kids are okay till they go to school It’s what they hear is so darn cruel In the end they don’t know what to think Their impure thoughts drive you to drink! All kids go through a devilish faze Speaking unkind words is the craze If only they’d stop acting the clown And start turning their life around! We’ve all been there and done that Have matured as a person, stopped being a brat Being an adult is drawing the line So start paying attention, or else you’ll do time! Now music draws a picture With colours that seem to repeat So listen as movement progresses Art is the brush strokes complete! 06.01.2022 BLUE Blue isn’t cold Or impure Blue is a colour that’s quite pure Blue means getting to know you ... And if you come closer, I’ll show you! Blue is warm full of desire Or that flame you look into When staring at the fire! Blue is the colour of your eyes Blue means the truth without a lie Blue is the ocean or the sea Or when I’m cold and wet, And you carried me! 06.01.2022 TIME Time is contagious, though we’re getting old When measured by the clock, is another question solved. It’s not in a bottle, washed up on the shore,... Instead it’s just sitting there, waiting to get old! Times on everyone’s conscience, the alarm it never lies I’m late for work, The wife said, I’m not surprised! Time just goes by before your very eyes It’s time for my lunch break, I’ll just get some fries! People rushing here and there, eating on the way After all time is money, and you have to earn your pay Time is being productive, making the most of every day Going where you have to be, everything will be okay! Hearing birds in the morning or the sound of crashing waves Keep walking along the nature strip and not into a cave Again there’s no beating the clock, time is on your side Passing this Wildlife Ranger exam, is a handshake felt with pride! 05.01.2022 IT’S TIME TO LIVE LIFE Had you ever stopped and wondered What life is all about Why your here and where you’re going ... Don’t ever feel in doubt! Maybe you’ve been too busy Now sit down and wipe those tears You do look a bit run down you know Here’s a tissue my dear! Routine is just a pattern Washing clothes and cooking tea There’s got to be more to life you know I want to enjoy life, I wanna be free! 05.01.2022 DON’T STARE OR JUDGE ME Most of the time I feel left out In this world full of doubt And I feel like I’m in the dark ... Lost, frightened and there’s no spark! So,I’m different and have a head injury I know I’m not normal but at least I’m free Yes, I’m slow, as you can see I’m capable my friend, so let me be! I’m not one to join in conversation If I speak words fast, it brings on frustration Talk, so it’s pleasing to my ear Speak slowly, so only I can hear! 04.01.2022 I’M A COWBOY AT LAST! A stampede of hooves were heard in the distance I just love wild horses, I couldn’t resist On taking a video, I had to persist ... This was something, I wouldn’t want to have missed! As they got closer, colours became clearer I feared for my life, thought they’d come nearer But then I calmed down when I saw a stock whip The man stopped and said I’ve got a sore hip! I took over the reins and continued the ride I rode a wide birth, continued my stride But then I calmed down when I saw a stock whip The man stopped and said I’ve got a sore hip! I took over the reins and continued to ride I rode a white horse, boy he could stride Then I saw a big stable, where the horses were kept The guy said I could keep one, on my knees I just wept! As days often do, they come to an end With the sun going down I made a friend I took off my brimmed hat, and drank the last of my tea I’m now living the dream, where wild horses roam free! 02.01.2022 WRITINGS A JOB Tell me what I should do with my life With other avenues fulfilled I don’t want strife I’d be clean cut like the edge of a knife ... Look how sharp that blade is, get married, find a wife! I don’t need complications or mistakes I’ll lift moral standards if that’s what it takes I’ll knuckle down and get thoughts off my chest Cause writing this book is the ultimate test! Becoming a writer is knowledge based Certain subjects on paper depends on taste This book is certainly one of the best And putting your book down is having a rest! Highly recommend was the reaction I got The first chapters were good and then came the plot It really had me sitting on the edge of my seat And the last few pages sounded quite neat! If I could predict a cricket game On who would win or be put to shame I don’t gamble at a loss, Or put money on a name! And if I could predict the future Right before your eyes You’d be rich and famous Living wealthy and wise!
