22.01.2022 This week on the Peninsula Plant Focus, we are talking about Chrysocephalum apiculatum, better known as Yellow Buttons or Common Everlasting! Yellow Buttons are found throughout all States and Territories in Australia and are hardy enough to tolerate a range of environments. Generally, Yellow Buttons spread up to a 1 metre wide and 30 centimetres high, though this varies considerably depending on the environment it is planted in! As the name suggests, Yellow Buttons produc...e compact, yellow flowers throughout late winter and into early summer. The yellow colour pops beautifully against the soft, grey-green foliage. These flowers also make them a great for attracting our native pollinators! Yellow Buttons can be propagated by seed or cuttings We use both methods to produce our plant stock here at the nursery! Have you got Yellow Buttons growing in your garden? For any questions and to order plants via contactless pickup or delivery, please contact the nursery via [email protected] or 5974 8417

We recognise and respect the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who have been here for over 65,000 years - who remain the longest continuous human cultures on earth - and who are designing, leading and delivering Children's Ground for the future of their children and families. Children’s Ground partners with whole communities, walking alongside each child for a generation. Every child born today should experience a lifetime of opportunity, entering adulthood strong in their identity and culture, connected to their local and global world, and economically independent. If all children can experience this basic right, then whole communities will enjoy wellbeing. At Children's Ground, we are making this a reality by: Delivering high-quality, culturally-appropriate services across education, health, community development, economic opportunity and creative arts. Celebrating culture, recognising talent, inspiring hope, delivering excellence and creating opportunity.
