12.01.2022 Anyone in the Bribie Pickleball Club want to register to play in the Queensland Pickleball Championships? Various skill levels and age divisions. Bob and I are thinking of playing, we would be looking for partners for the same gender competitions who would be similar skill levels with us, after looking at the international rating guidelines, we are registering as advanced intermediate. If a few are going down we could look at carpooling.
11.01.2022 Today is the last day to register if you are interested. I believe there are 5 of us from our club now registered. If you want to play, you will need to know your rating so you know what brackets to register for. https://usapickleball.org//player-skill-rating-definitions/
08.01.2022 Something to aspire to? Great to watch to train yourself on how you should position yourself and play the game. See how everyone on both sides moves up to the kitchen line IMMEDIATELY after the first two bounces, and they plant themselves right there. That is where the game is played. If you aren’t running all over the place, you are also less likely to step into the kitchen to hit the ball on the full. You will notice that one team likes to do stacking to play to their strengths. I have to admit that doesn’t interest me, and it does my head in if I play someone doing that. But it obviously works for some!
01.01.2022 NO PICKLEBALL THIS AFTERNOON- Sunday 8 November. Crummy wet and windy weather, catch you all next time
