21.01.2022 Level 2 restrictions have lifted! We have now moved to Level 1 restrictions. This means we can do all treatments. Including cleans and crown work. If we have cancelled your appointment recently we will be in touch to make an appointment. We have quite a list to work through so if you would like to get in as soon as you can you are more than welcome to call sooner.

21.01.2022 LEVEL 3 restrictions have lifted! We are able to offer more treatments, but we are still under LEVEL 2 restrictions. Unfortunately hygiene appointments can't be offered at this stage. ... 17.01.2022 IMPORTANT IMFORMATION The Australian Dental Association has advised that all dental treatment must now be limited to urgent dentistry only during the current phase of Covid-19 restrictions. Only acute dental pain, traumatic injuries or ulcerations, and treatment of medically-compromised patients with dental concerns that may affect their overall health may be treated under the current restrictions. This reduced scope of practice has necessitated a reduction in operating h...ours for the 3 private dental Practices in Ayr. Instead of closing the doors, in an effort to continue serving the dental needs of the Burdekin during this Covid-19 pandemic, Brice Dental , Oar & Horan Dentists & Ayr Family Dental have combined their resources to (between them) have ONE dentist rostered on to work each week-day, starting Monday 6 April. The roster has been tailored so that each private dentist in the Burdekin will work a minimum of one day/week. Patients can still phone their regular dentist any given day & if their regular dentist is not at work that day, & they’d prefer not to wait til the day he/she is next rostered on, then they have the option of phoning the On-Call dentist who is working that day to treat their urgent needs. We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic dental assistant with a positive attitude to join our team. No experience is necessary as mentoring would be provided, however computer skills are required. 3-4days /Casual position with potential to have more days in future .... Duties would be :- Assisting chair-side Sterilization and infection control Restocking the surgeries Setting up instruments prior to each appointment Reception duties and be able to provide excellent customer service Other miscellaneous duties as a part of team work.
