25.01.2022 Sometimes its always better to start again, painted surface requires weldcrete(a bonding agent) we then applied a thin scratch coat evening out the bigger imperfections, finally redo the whole wall again over our own work! #plastererneeded #rendering #plastering #renderer #plastered #rendered #planter #bricklayer #brickie #brickwork #letterbox

23.01.2022 Back to basics... kinda

22.01.2022 Kitchen Niche! This Client needed more space for their fridge to fit, also wanted a feature Niche above thats not big enough to collect dust etc that a deep shelf would. A bit of effort but not a bad idea #plasterer #gyprock #renovate

14.01.2022 It gonna lie this one was very trying and time consuming! Especially with a black exposed aggregate already down The clients took out the infill wall to replace with a balustrade to modernise. We used a product from Rockcote to reduce mess and also needed cherry picker(boom lift) for the height we prevailed though!#doublestory #frontelevation

14.01.2022 From the ground up! Only one person to call and I get it done Dean Simmons Nigel Simmons

13.01.2022 Texturing to flowerbeds! Reckon thats earnt a beer? happy Friday everyone!

13.01.2022 Part 1/ This one was one of the bigger ones weve done and had it all. Different levels, uneven ground for the footings, symmetrical brickwork, base coat then seal and textured! Front and back of house(back in following post) had contrasting walls and the client sent though pictures after the exposed aggregate went down #plastererneeded #rendering #plastering #renderer #plastered #rendered #planter #bricklayer #brickie #brickwork #letterbox

12.01.2022 Bit of paint and she’ll be good to go! Dean Simmons Nigel Simmons

12.01.2022 Cream Sand finish really opens up the house! One question Im frequently asked which concerns my clients is about the mortar joints, they do indeed show however ultimately all dry the same colour over time once properly dry. Its always good to put at least a clear sealer overtime to help preserve the render. Dean Simmons Nigel Simmons

12.01.2022 Couple of giant garden beds rendered

11.01.2022 Limestone retainer textured. Dean Simmons Nigel Simmons

11.01.2022 Pardon my language but it was like someone just stood on my sand castle

11.01.2022 Its always fun when you know the clients and can have a laugh, plus we needed payback for Brad building us something so creative We had to base coat it and texture it, came up great in the end! and best of luck with the rest of the project.

10.01.2022 A reminder to some, acrylic texture is the type of finish that already has the colour in it. Being that its acrylic allows flexibility and less likely to crack/ fracture Dean Simmons and Nigel Simmons

10.01.2022 Reinforced Concerte Besser blocks! Built then core filled and rendered great for retaining Dean Simmons Nigel Simmons

10.01.2022 Small alteration good to have jobs indoors given the heat we just had! Dean Simmons Nigel Simmons

09.01.2022 This is one serious fireplace built by Brad and glass face rendered by us!

08.01.2022 In prepped, rendered out! Once again cream sand finish has the benefit of looking ace, leaving painting a decision not a necessity Nigel Simmons Dean Simmons

07.01.2022 Stage 2... So after pouring a concrete footing and removing the ceiling on the first day, the next 2 trips consisted of installing the front window frame and bathroom frame and building the en-suite. We moved on to adjusting the ceiling to a bulkhead and then created a false wall and niche to the south wall..... Stage 3 to followDean Simmons Nigel Simmons

07.01.2022 A little something to pass the time during isolation.

06.01.2022 Garage conversion complete with and en-suite Stage 1, not much to see here but this was what we started with......stage 2 & 3 to follow Dean Simmons Nigel Simmons

02.01.2022 Simple front elevation done today in cream sand finish! One benefit of doing it in cream and not grey is its not so much of a dull colour while its curing before painting, and if you grow fond of the shade it dries in(lighter than shown) simply put a clear sealant on it and job done! #frontelevation #sandfinish #creamrender #plastererer
