The local community are doing an amazing job at the Showgrounds keeping our fire fighters fed & hydrated. 22.01.2022 EXCITING NEWS! We are almost back to normal, restrictions have eased as of today. We can now have 28 patrons inside at anyone time and 50 people outside at any one time. Here is a couple of frequently asked questions:... DO PATRONS NEED TO ORDER MEALS AS A CONDITION OF ENTRY? No. CAN PATRONS STAND AND DRINK? No, alcohol can only be consumed whilst seated. CAN WE SIT OUTSIDE TO HAVE A BEER AND MEAL? Yes. Bookings for meals essential. 18.01.2022 The pub is Alive & well. The fire got to our front door, side door & back door & the surrounds are still well alight this morning. Last night the mountains were alive with fire. Jingellic looks like a war zone. A massive thank you to the RFS & all that helped to save the pub. You are all doing an outstanding job. We cannot thank you enough. ... Thoughts are with all those that have been effected by the fires.



18.01.2022 Cook/Chef & kitchen hand The Jingellic Hotel Our iconic and historic country pub is located directly on the bustling banks of the mighty Murray River along the Murray River Road just a short drive from Albury/Wodonga, Corryong, Tumbarumba and Holbrook. We offer a fully functioning pub and accommodation facilities, including extensive bistro menu, vibrant beer garden under ancient trees, motel, cabin and holiday home accommodation, plus extensive free camping facilities.... We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and hands on qualified Cook/Chef to join our team. The primary role of the Cook/Chef’s position is to supervise and manage the preparation of all meals within the kitchen. This includes, but is not limited to production of lunch, dinner & function catering as is required. You will be well organised with previous experience in a fast paced environment. The role requires you to work across a 7-day roster including nights and weekends. Skills and experience required will include the proven ability in a similar venue, work closely with and report to the Hotel Manager, have full-working rights in Australia, ability to work collaboratively within a team, punctual, reliable and friendly demeanour, strong passion for quality and attention to detail and ability to comply with all health and safety regulations and understand the best practices of food handling. 17.01.2022 *** 2nd Jan UPDATE *** ANYBODY who has been evacuated from their home - as per the Fires Near Me and VicEmergency maps - and can prove residency is welcome. ***... NYE UPDATE **** This invitation has been extended to those displaced by the Dunns Road fire which is currently threatening Tumbarumba, Batlow, Jajungal, Talbingo, Kunama, Wondalga and surrounding areas. Anyone who can prove residency of these areas is also welcome at the park free of charge, along with animals. *** Residents of the Jingellic, Green Valley, Talmalmo, Cudgewa, Guys Forest, Mt Alfred, Pine Mountain, Walwa, Burrowye, and Tintaldra areas who are being evacuated due to the current fire emergency are welcome at Great Aussie Holiday Park at no cost. 12.01.2022 2020 has started a little different for us in & around Jingellic. Last night was out of control with the fire only kms from the pub. The fire fighters continue to amaze us with their incredible ability to deal with such challenging conditions. This fire remains out of control. Containment lines & back burning are being done today as the temperature is a little cooler & less wind. ... The pub has no power or phones so will remain closed for the moment. Stay safe.

03.01.2022 Today our Pub stands all alone. Last night Jingellic was evacuated... We have prepared the pub as best we can & the rest is up to Mother Nature. According to weather predictions, The next 12 hours are going to be horrendous... High temperatures in the mid 40’s & gale force winds. ... Thank you to the hundreds of people that have contributed to saving Jingellic. You have all done an amazing job & we are forever grateful. Glenn & I are also trying to save our property in Talmalmo, so today will be a very stressful day. Stay safe. We are thinking about all those that have been impacted by fire over the last week.

03.01.2022 Guests at the public camp ground below the Jingellic Pub has been advised to leave as a result of a Fire on River Road Talmalmo. There are road closures in the area. The pub is business as usual until further notice. Stay safe if you are effected by this fire.
