Curfew to continue till at least 28 Sept Retail to remain closed for minimum another month No plan for gyms or personal training for a month, then only 2 clients outdoors Restaurants, Cafes remain closed for a month then possibly outdoor dining only. 22.01.2022 The Yarra Valleys inclusion in Melbournes lockdown makes no sense. Theres no medical advice from the Chief Health Officer for it. The only reason why Yarra Valley was included is because of arbitrary bureaucratic lines drawn on a map. By comparison, Geelong was able to have more flexibility and freedom due to their status as part of regional Victoria, despite having 44% more total COVID cases than the Yarra Ranges. Ive called on the Premier directly to urgently review thi...s situation and remove the Yarra Valleys inclusion in Melbournes lockdown, and give our country communities and local businesses much needed relief. Otherwise, the Government must provide the medical evidence to keep our country communities locked up despite having no active COVID cases. 19.01.2022 Andrews Labor Government wants to ram through new laws that will gag families of murdered rape victims today in Parliament, and force them to fork out $10,000 for a court order if they want to give a voice to their lost loved ones. It’s disgusting. Astonishing that this is Labor’s priority as our community recovers from the COVID pandemic. Too many women have been victims of sexual assault and their voices deserve to be heard. Why won’t Labor listen to the many courageous vi...ctim survivors about how destructive their proposed new law is? Labor’s new laws are protecting sexual assault perpetrators by silencing the families of their victims. They don’t care and it makes me sick. Women like Jill Meagher - her husband and her mum have been so courageous to speak out about these atrocious violent acts, raise awareness and advocate change. Labor’s laws will make it a crime to use Jill Meagher’s name... but allow the use of Adrian Bayley’s victim. IT MAKES NO SENSE. It’s extraordinary today to hear on 3AW the mum of Adrian Bayley also slam the Labor Government for this stupid new law. Labor is too ashamed to admit it’s stuffed this up and is arrogant in pursuing this. 19.01.2022 Victorians deserve a plan that lifts us out, not a plan that keeps us locked in. Daniel Andrews and Labor said theyd announce a roadmap out of lockdown today. They didnt. ... After all, those leaked documents were sadly right. Stage 4 lockdown extended Curfew extended No plan for businesses, more jobs at risk No return for school Infection control and contact tracing failures Today, Premier Andrews used his newly increased powers, forced through Parliament by 1 vote (Greens), to extend Stage 4 restrictions keeping small businesses closed and offered no guarantee when children can return to school or when families can meet to have dinner together. Today Premier Andrews expected thanks for gifting Victorians an extra hour out of curfew to 9pm, and an extra hour of exercise, and a roadmap full of "maybes". He failed to produce a roadmap out of lockdown, and he failed to deliver or a plan of hope. Independent medical experts have slammed the Governments poor infection control and contact tracing systems that are so inferior to other States in Australia. LHS: South Australian Premier Steven Marshall, who used ADF and Police to manage hotel quarantine (instead of untrained security guards like Daniel Andrews), did not have a second wave of COVID, did not have outbreaks in health care or aged care, has businesses, jobs, economy and society back open and operational, and....has AFL finals footy (which itself generates thousands of jobs, particularly for our youth), and a fabulous crowd of footy fans. #NoThanksDan

16.01.2022 How incredible is this a swarm of !! Look what has happened here to one of our cherry trees! Sometimes a colony of bees may outgrow their hive as they grow ...and multiply. They then look for a temporary home and create a swarm while they establish a new location for their colony (there are also many other reasons that bees swarm). Our beekeeper will come and remove this swarm and create a new hive. He will do this by locating the queen bee, and then relocating her and the worker bees into the hive. Once safely in their new hive they are ready to continue their work in the orchard! See more

Labor doesnt get small business and excludes 100,000s of Victorian sole traders from any financial assistance, again, despite forcing them to stop working. Its not fair and its not good ...enough. Why did the Chief Health Officer tell both the Parliamentary Inquiry and the Hotel Quarantine Inquiry that he didn’t know anything about the use of private security guards to manage the quarantine program? His emails on 27 March, the day of the decision-making, prove he did know. Why were these documents previously withheld, and why is his evidence conflicting? ... Given the enormous power the CHO has had over Victorians everyday lives, he must now be upfront with the community and answer serious questions about why his evidence is inconsistent.

15.01.2022 Finally ZERO active COVID cases across the whole Yarra Ranges! Everyone locally has worked hard, sacrificed a lot, and followed the rules. It’s been extremely challenging, but we’re a resilient community. Thanks to everyone who supported the campaign to scrap the 5km rule, as we see our efforts recognised with this eased to a new 25km limit. But, there’s a way to go to recover and get our local economy back on track. Harsh restrictions are still in place on retail, farm-gates..., hospitality and tourism businesses across the Yarra Valley which, of course, impacts significantly on local jobs and livelihoods. I’ll keep pushing for a common sense and flexible approach to opening up, as in our Evelyn Electorate we’ve been COVID free for many weeks now. I trust our people, businesses and community groups to be alert and COVID safe. To the several thousand locals who’ve needed assistance along the way with information about Stage 4 restrictions, Business Grant applications, and access to mental health services, thanks for your patience. Theres no medical evidence for locking up our regional communities and treating them like an inner-city suburb of Melbourne. The only reason why the Yarra Valley is included in Melbournes stage 4 lockdown is because of arbitrary bureaucratic lines drawn on a map. Its had a devastating impact on our community and local economy. And, currently there are no active COVID cases in the Yarra Valle...y. Last week I wrote to the Premier pleading for him to urgently reconsider the Yarra Valleys inclusion in Melbournes stage 4 restrictions, otherwise provide the medical evidence for keeping the Yarra Valley locked down. 12.01.2022 COVID RESTRICTIONS UPDATE Face masks will no longer be required outside in Victoria from midnight tonight, as long as physical distancing can be maintained. The Andrews Government has outlined that people are still required to wear masks inside and on public transport, and if your outdoors and can’t distance from others (such as an outdoor farmer’s/community market or standing in a queue). Medical exemptions may apply.... 10.01.2022 The Andrews Labor Governments announcement today destroys hope of a recovery for small businesses and jobs across our community. The Premier instead focused on keeping Victoria locked down and businesses closed. The sense of desperation and anguish is palpable in the emails Ive been receiving from people this afternoon. We can and we must begin to open up our state's economy in a safe and controlled manner with COVID safe plans, just like any other OHS plans, and extra su...pport for sections of the community particularly vulnerable. Also, years of underinvestment by Labor in Victorias health system infrastructure is now hurting all Victorians. Instead of contact tracing by whiteboard and sticky-notes (yes, sadly its true), urgent investment in IT and resourcing such as in NSW is required.

08.01.2022 Has the Andrews Labor Governments response to COVID-19 done more damage than the disease? A very insightful article from one of Australias most respected journalists. Governing should be about balancing risks against costs and only fools and sophists make arguments based on false choices. The debate is not between what we are doing and doing nothing. It should be about what response delivers the greatest good for the greatest number. The Victorian solution punishes the man...y for the few. It preferences the very old over the young, mortgaging the future of the entire school and working age population. It is hard to imagine how you could design a policy that is more profoundly unfair or damaging to a society. And nowhere in this often-opaque democracy has a less transparent court system, bureaucracy, police force or government than Victoria. The people there have been badly served, even as some revelled in the servitude. Its systems of power have combined to deliver the wanton destruction of its vibrant society. Its government has condemned its people to a poorer future, to higher unemployment, more poverty and less opportunity. Rejoice. Dan Andrews has destroyed the village to save it.

Our democracy rests on a very delicate balance of ensuring that power is shared, not centralised, to guard against abuse and corruption.
