23.01.2022 Brighton Residents - This evening, Monday 24th August, our crews will be conducting a training exercise with neighbouring brigades in and around the Brighton area. There is no need for alarm. You will see a heightened amount of Emergency service personnel and vehicles in the area from around 630pm onwards. 16.01.2022 ** Smoke alert has been removed** Fire crews are currently on-site, working to contain and bring the fire under control. A SMOKE ALERT FOR KILLARNEY ROAD, AUSTIN CRES AND ALBION ROAD Issued At: 11/01/2021 12:33pm... There is a bushfire at Austin Crescent, Bridgewater. There is no threat to communities. There may be smoke and ash from this fire visible around Killarney Road, Austin Cres and Albion Road. What to do: People with medical conditions are advised to have a personal plan for avoiding smoke from the burn. Fire under these conditions can be difficult to control.... 09.01.2022 Tomorrow, Monday 25th January, has been declared a day of Total Fire Ban. This means, in addition to no opens flames, there is also restrictions on machinery and tools/equipment that can be used. We will have 1 crew pre-positioned in the Derwent Valley as part of a strike team, whilst also maintaining coverage for our community. Remember, if you see anything of concern, report it to 000 straight away



09.01.2022 On a day of Total Fire Ban, both our Career and Volunteer crews were kept busy. Responding to multiple incidents in our community as well as a crew assisting for a number of hours at a larger incident in Broadmarsh late this afternoon. 07.01.2022 Tasmania Police are calling for information and witnesses to multiple incidents last night. Just prior to 10pm, 2 crews from Bridgewater and 1 from Glenorchy, responded to reports of a Structure fire on Old Main Rd. On arrival, crews discovered fires burning in 3 separate vacant houses, all neighboring each other. Quick action saw the fires contained in around 1hr, with crews remaining on scene overnight.... Investigations are continuing, any information that you have can be shared with Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000 or Bridgewater Police on 131 444

05.01.2022 Today members of our Brigade have given a donation back to a local community group that have been big supporters of our Volunteer members. We met with Mark & Ange from the Bridgewater / Gagebrook Clean Up Group to provide a $200 donation towards their Day on the Green event in 2021. We love to help support local community events and groups where we can!

This fire may put St Helens - Stonyford Track and Heritage Road at high risk now. This fire will be difficult to control. 03.01.2022 **Update @ 10.30am - Midland Highway, Bridgewater, is now clear form the earlier closure of the slip-lane. ______________ Earlier: ... Bridgewater motorists are advised that the slip-lane of the Midland Highway heading to the industrial estate is currently closed while the Tasmania Fire Service respond to a scrub fire.

03.01.2022 Our crews have had a busy weekend. Providing assistance at numerous vegetation fires around Dremoedary & Elderslie, whilst providing crews for coverage and incidents in and around the greater Hobart area.

02.01.2022 Both Bridgewater crews responded to a large Pallet Stack fire at a local business yesterday. On arrival, thick smoke and tall flames greeted our crews. Quick action resulted in the fire being knocked down promptly and extinguished. Picture: Courtesy of Adrian James

01.01.2022 The Bridgewater Fire Brigade (Tasmania) are about to conduct a Fuel Reduction Burn between Laurence Pl Gagebrook & East Derwent Highway ( South of Jordan River Bridge). This will put up some smoke and we request that members of the public refrain from using the walking track until this burn is complete. Also remember if you are driving, please slow to 40km/p if you see our crews working on the side of the highway.
