15.01.2022 This Friday - 20th November - the Tasmanian Senior Ladies are conducting their event at our club. Therefore the course will be closed from 9:00 until 2:30 pm. Friday Flappers please note you will not be able to hit off before this time.

15.01.2022 I find it very hard to accept that a member of our club would ignore the protocol of the green waste tip. This mattress (and some old carpet) have appeared on the dump. If this was you, please remove it immediately and no more action will be taken. Otherwise the tip will be closed to everyone which would be a real pity!

06.01.2022 Ladies!!! This Wednesday is North-East Championships at Tam O’Shanter Golf Club. If you didn’t have your name down to play please just turn up there at 9 am - they won’t knock you back (and we need all the guns we have ). For anyone that is not going, I’ll still be at Bridport at the usual time if you want to play.

04.01.2022 On Saturday 22nd August there will be an event for the Scallop Festival at the Golf Club starting at 5:30 pm. Therefore there will be a shotgun start 10:00 for 10:30 with no-one to hit off any later than this. Earlier starts are not a problem! The Clubhouse needs to be vacated by 5:15 pm.

03.01.2022 Our thoughts are with Launceston golfer Greg Longmore and his family as Greg battles severe burns from an industrial accident at Adams Distillery in Perth. He will require considerable time in hospital and several operations. A GoFundMe has been set up to help with the ongoing costs involved.

03.01.2022 Our Opening Day was a wonderful success with 42 players competing in a 3 ball Ambrose. Some of our members very generously took juniors or beginners in their teams as this is a great event to be inclusive. (We had 4 beginners and 4 juniors in our teams) A big thank you to everyone who helped with the organisation, Curt & Greg for cooking the barbecue, Sue for baking the cakes for the cake walk, Marie for donating the chickens for the chicken board and everyone who came from o...ther clubs to support our day. Also to Barnbougle/Lost Farm for the very generous donation of our trophies! With all our costs covered we were able to donate $500 to Dorset Community House and $250 to our local wildlife carer, Norma Baker, who was so thrilled that someone even thought to support her work. Winning Men's Team was Bob Laird, Bob Atkinson and Gary Thomas. Ladies Team - the George Town group of Vicki Towns, Kerry Davis & Pat Wilkinson. 01.01.2022 It has come to our notice that we have a junior member of our club who is allergic to jack jumpers. If you are playing the course and find a jack jumpers nest, please mark it (with a twig off a tree if necessary) and note where it is so it can be treated with ant dust as soon as possible.
