18.01.2022 Banana Shire Art Gallery Association is closely monitoring the Coronavirus COVID-19 situation and the impact this is having on community events and facilities including the closure of the Banana Shire Regional Art Gallery. At this stage, the Association will continue working towards delivering a Brigalow Arts Festival in 2020, with all efforts to retain a similar structure to 2019. However, this is of course subject to when Banana Shire Regional Art Gallery can re-open; the ...impact of closure on the amenities, exhibition schedule and Government directives regarding public events and social distancing. The arts community is in our thoughts at this time, as our lives continue to change every day. We hope that artists and creatives can use more time at home to work on their practice, embracing the positive impacts of being creative and making art. Understandably, financial support for 2020 will be a difficult decision for our sponsors. We will be truly grateful where any sponsors can continue in their support at any level. The situation will continue to be monitored and further updates will be provided as the year progresses.
