23.01.2022 As I remove the biodegradable fitted cover from the salon bed, I hear the director (in my head) call " ...and that's a wrap!" I then think back to myself "Not quite! More like a sheet but it is the end of my working week! " Hey...I know it's not that hilarious but when my thoughts make me laugh I obviously find them funny! . Just be grateful I don't share them all with you Have a great weekend everyone. ... Bx

20.01.2022 Morning all Hope all of you have a wonderful Friday. It's the last working day of the week for me this week and I am looking forward to giving myself a pamper sesh this weekend. Usually every few weeks I do my waxing, apply one of my 2 natural brow henna treatments to my brows and then treat my hair with my Herbal Mehandi (also henna). Henna colours over my greys, encourages hair growth and my hair really responds well to it. I wax away with music playing, as the colour ...sets, and then after I have smoothed away my hairy concerns I wash and dry my hair, cover my body in my chosen HH elemental oil, give myself a deeply nourishing facial, check my feet, finger nails and generally fuss over myself a little more than the usual day/night routine. It's my don't disturb me unless you have a drink for me time "I like it a lot!" The last few months, however, I haven't done my hair as I am starting to step into idea of leaving it go grey. To be honest it was easy at first, as I was distracted with health and other issues but now I'm back on track with that, I feel like a western gun slinger, with an itchy trigger hand poised at the bag of henna! "Too grey or not too grey??" That is my question I have been asking myself. I suppose it proves I have some essence of patience at least. As long as it takes to work out the answer will be literally reflected from the silver's that shine through my hair. I have friends who have transitioned with the most gorgeous natural results and now that my silver's are starting to show through, I'm wondering if I am ready to take the plunge and commit as well. It's a real challenge to decide but I'm not really as stressed about it as I thought I would be. I may just manage another month or two and find that I can do this or on the flip side, I may experiment with some semi permanent colours and let a little more of my craAzZeE slip out! Whatever I choose, I'll embrace it and be grateful I had the choice. Love to all Bx

17.01.2022 A mother and son kinda tribute here in the salon today. God bless all mums and our children. I think as mums we get each other. It's a nice connection. Rocks made with love from my son and Mother Mary with light and love heart behind them. Light brightens the darkest days, warms and reflects on our faces to each other. ... The Elemental oils are so beautiful to work with today. I truly can't say which is my favourite ...just like my boys or my clients for that matter. Blessed! 17.01.2022 What a windy day!! Here's a shout out to anyone called Peg today . I think it's a nick name for ladies called Margaret ... although I have never understood why! This last couple of days have left us all feeling quite windswept and today my washing would have been strewn left, right and centre and "gone with the wind" if not for the steadying ability of my pegs! Air is an element that can rarely be seen but it definitely let's you know when it's taking action. I could g...Continue reading

13.01.2022 Tiarn is a local girl who I am proud to call a friend. She had a skincare consult with me about two months ago and I gave her my best advice and discussed a range of skin care options. As I explained, her skincare needs as a young Maiden are far different than my own, but both ends of the skincare spectrum need hydration and nourishment. We agreed that a hands on experience with a Heritage Healers Wildflower Healing Facial would be really beneficial for her and her tending ...towards sensitive/combination skin type. Tiarn used a voucher I gave her after the facial, towards purchasing a Skin Balance Trial Pack so she could continue to trial the products in her home environment. The kit lasting about month on average, helped her to see and feel the benefits and she witnessed her skin calm in the process. Also being familiar with the flower essences and aromatherapy used within all Heritage Healers treatments, she had a terrific foundational understanding in the significance these healing modalities would play in her skincare and well-being ritual. As with all my clients, I reward for loyalty when purchasing product from me, whether a discount on services or reduction in retail prices when I can. As well as the special price for the combination of her basic skincare essentials, Tiarn also received a bonus Wildflower Essence* when she purchased the Meridian Moisturiser. In fact, her Trial/travel pack still has some other speciality products left for her to continue to use as well, like the Revitaliser Mask and Wattle Husk Peel, which will complement her holistic skincare ritual at home alongside the full sized itemes she has pictured here. I personally think Heritage Healers is great value for money and gets great results...as you can see by the screenshots I took from Tiarn "Thanks so much for trusting me with an array of beauty needs Tiarn. You have always been a loyal client, willing model for makeup, lash and brow tints etc and always been an absolute pleasure to work with. I can't thank you enough for consistently affirming my purpose as a beautician with posts like this that you shared with your friends, and supporting my business. I'm so glad you're loving the Heritage Healers products you purchased from me and I look forward to seeing continued improvements in your well-being, which will also be reflected in your skin. Keep shining!" Bxx *with the current special offer from Heritage Healers, if you purchase one of the Wildflower range moisturisers, you will receive a free Elemental Wildflower Essence valued at $25. This post has been published with Tiarn's permission

12.01.2022 Rerun of a ripper story with Brig I can't promise this is quality filming or story line but it made me smile to share with you. Hey guys I'm just chilling on the bed here and thought I'd tell you about my tricky trousers predicament today which did get my knickers in a knot. ... Don't panic though...I came out unscathed but I can't say the same for my trousers. And I must mention that if you have a sneaky suspicion your britches zipper may be a little temperamental but it does work a couple of times during the day, then remember the rule of 3...3rd time unlucky for me...but soooo lucky I was home!! Keep smiling lovelies Bxxx

12.01.2022 What's your elemental nature? I'm a FIRE Maiden!! Well...actually I'm in the Crone stage of my womanly journey but I'm ok with that. It's a blessing I got to this age. During the Maiden, Mother and Crone stages of my life I have predominately been the Fire Persona, although I have felt the presence of all elements in the ebbs and flows of my life. I celebrate the gift of womanhood at all stages in my life today. ... I have found I am most consistently connected between Air and Fire. I believe they complement each other within me and when I have Zen Moments of balance, Air lifts the wonder, creativity and imagination within my soul, whilst Fire gets things done and helps me to seek my goals with a passion. I might add is not always an easy combination to live with when I feel imbalanced! I suffer exhaustion from over thinking (Air) and burn out from setting such high expectations on myself (Fire). And just for fun, let's throw in the hormonal imbalances of Menopause (Water). On the imbalanced days, it's hard to be around myself 24/7, and that's when the dependability of the Earth oil blend saves the day for me . And, when it all "hits the fan", I choose Water to soothe myself into a sense of ease, so I can start again when rested. The solution I find that works for me and 95%+ of my clients, is to take the Heritage Healers Wildflower Essences of our most natural persona (Fire for me) and let the olfactory system...aka our sense of smell...choose the perfect aromatherapy blend from Heritage Healers that we need on each given day. The aromatherapy needs differ and yet it really helps me to stay on track! SO.. although I'm Fire, letting the Air in my persona have a little fun, why not throw in a beautiful word like "maiden" into the mix! Mother Nature...you are such a teacher! I thank the Lord for the abundance of healing plants and flowers He gives us. I couldn't do life without the beauty of nature and I see it reflected in women everywhere. The unison of beauty and lessons in the seasons of life, birth and ageing is awe inspiring to me With hands in the Air I say, "I'm a Fire Maiden and I'm hot to trot as I face this day!" I hope your "Rocking It" if you're an Earth, "Soaring to new limits" if you're an Air and "Gently Flowing" if you are Water With love as we all face this day Bxxx

10.01.2022 Hi all Just a huge thank you to all clients who are bringing blankets to their treatments. As part of my Covid19 safety precautions, I am having to wash every towel I touch during each clients treatment as well as disinfect the salon facilities between appointments. I never have been a domestic goddess but if I was given a tribal name it would perhaps be "Almost" as sometimes I almost feel like I'm on top of the housework ... Trying to dry towels and blankets on t...he best of days in the Hills is a game of chance with the weather, so thankfully I have a drier. Between that and the washing machine I keep imagining the "little engine that could" story as they work busily behind the salon scenes for me. As with the washing, there is also the folding...a constant essential chore as a salon owner, always eased by listening to good music as I restock the towell cabinet and shelves. And as I see the washing pile increase I am tempted to gripe, whinge and moan (and sometimes do...ask Gary). However, more importantly, it reminds me how blessed I am to be bringing in an income to my family and that it is all because my clients choose me as their beautician They trust me during these troubled times to ease their stress and help them to Face the Day with confidence They tell me I brighten their day, make them smile, make them feel comfortable, whilst I remove their unwanted chin hairs, tidy their unruly brows, scrub their cracked heels, file their toenails and lovingly tend to their needs. This always makes me smile as I really do it lovingly, yes all of it... I love my clients and I also feel loved and appreciated in the process. Ps ...the next one who forgets their blankets is on towel folding duties lol ... Bxx

08.01.2022 Another happy Hot Stone Massage client. I have to say, it's an awesome sensory experience to have a holistic massage combined with warm soothing stones, nurturing aromatherapy blends and flower essences. Head...feet...arms...shoulders...hands.. neck...back...legs...hips...buttocks... declotage and face. Your massage time, your choice of targeted nurturing. You can also pick your own music to add to the experience ... If I'm offered a treatment for myself, I'll always say yes to feet, face, neck and head massage ...ahhh just love that I usually choose the Fire blend but sometimes I surprise myself with my elemental choice. I aways take the Fire flower essences before my treatments and let my nose choose the oils. They really complement each other and more importantly, our well-being. When I work with clients...Their elemental massage oil is heated in the same warm elementally tweaked water that the volcanic stones sit in. Both feel will silky and warm upon the touch. Each Hot stone massage is totally tailored per individual clients. A new batch of water and clean stones per client. Adding some gorgeous elemental macadamia oil into the bath brings healing aroma throughout the salon. It's truly lovely Perfect for cool weather but incredibly calming in Summer too. Thanks to this beautiful Water client for sending me this text last night. I sincerely thank her and her daughters for supporting my business and encouraging me to do what I love. They are a great bunch to work with in the salon. It's been a privilege to see the girls growing up into young women. Love to you all on this beautiful sunny Winter's day...I've just turned the stones on for a well deserving lady who is coming this morning Bxx

07.01.2022 Hands up if you're WATER?? My advice today if you are is to remember water can exist as liquid, solid or a gaseous state. Celebrate that immense range of abilities if you are vibing the water elemental nature today. Water can go with the flow, be a gentle morning mist, a downpour of torrential rain, a calm lake, a trickling stream, a running river, an ocean...calm or stormy and also be walked upon as ice! ... It can smooth over harsh rock, form ravines in mountains, move things from one state to another, cool a hot day, warm a cold night, quench a thirst, make the tallest tree stand high. It can become stagnant too if not in the right conditions but can create spectacular waterfalls with the right momentum. Even as the finest mist can bring healing and invigorate health. Water can support an abundance of life on this planet, in fact it is where life started on this earth. All living things need water! It is an incredibly potent element and miraculous in it's capabilities. Think of the ebb and flow of tides...it's connection with more than just earth is significant! Water is within us and surrounds us and is crucially intertwined with all other elements. WATER is truly essential, although if you are this nurturing elemental nature, sometimes you may need to feel nurtured yourself...please don't forget that. As Dory says " just keep swimming" but as Rory says "splash in the puddles and enjoy a good soothing bath now and then." I'm so grateful to the WATER people in my life. They are the ones who reach out, who listen, who care and have an inner calm which seems to flow over and calm my spirit too. Love to you all. 06.01.2022 My husband snapped this photo the other morning after I had been cradling Rory like a little sooky cuddle bum in my lap for good few minutes. He was in his element as I rocked him, kissed him, and talked to him as I patted his butt like a baby. So, of course, as soon as dad got the camera out Rory was "Oh no I'm not really cuddling mum! I was just leaning on her. Don't take the photo dad! And definitely don't show my puppy friends this photo! I'm just doing this for mum!...!... Oh get off me mum!! You know I'm not into kisses and cuddles!!!" Yeah right Rory!! I know your not...haha #puppylove #justtomakeyousmile

05.01.2022 Here's a Zen moment I thought I'd share with you. I looks quite elegant but didn't look very lady like as I climbed up and down this large boulder mind you The sun was going down creating such a pretty back drop. Although my feet felt slippery in my boots, it was worth scrambling to the top of this rock to enjoy this moment....I thought I would leave the bigger rock to more intrepid adventurers! The bluff at Victor Harbour is certainly worth a visit. What a glorious view i...t provides, not to mention a good workout with the meandering track to the summit. No whales were spotted that visit but they are definitely visitors to the area in the cooler months. S.A. sure has some beautiful places to visit and adventures to be found. Have a good weekend! What are you up to? Wherever you go, remember to take the sunshine with you Bxx

04.01.2022 This photo was taken two weeks ago on a chilly Saturday afternoon. It was truly a gorgeous Winter's day. I feel like time unfolded a beautiful end to yet another Winter season of my life. As I look back over the last fortnight, I can honestly say I've felt the transition of the seasons; the changing of the guards within the earth and my own self too. Nothing drastic, but to acknowledge that within and without me there is a slow but wondrous roll over of change happening,... makes my soul grateful. Releasing joy, celebrating that the sun is shining longer, the blossoms are blooming and realising that myself and the earth need the Winter's ,just as we need Spring humbles me after all my grumbles of "I'm over Winter!" I am once again reminded with the gift of hindsight, that lesson I seem to forget each Winter . I realise my Winter blues, hibernating mindset and tendency to recluse can all lead to growth if I use the season to it's fullest potential. I simply have to look at the blossoms on the fruit trees now to remember this lesson from Mother Nature. They were stark only a fortnight ago and now covered in life giving blossoms! So, today as I face this Spring day, I am grateful for all the days I thought I would never sprout growth again, for they are a physical reminder that challenges do befall us over every season, although Winter seems the harshest and I find that I feel it' when I'm most vulnerable. Today I am grateful for the days I remembered to celebrate the sunshine within me., particularly on the most Wintery Winter's days. There were a few days, I can honestly say, that I felt that I had grasped an appreciation of that lesson. The day I took this photo was one of them. The sun is always there but sometimes we are the cloud that blocks it's rays. Look for the sun, it wants to be seen. When necessary be that light and warmth for yourself and others. Spring forth the sunshine within you today. With love Bxx

02.01.2022 Wow time flies when you're having fun! It was great to watch this live video I presented back in 2017 about 'Making Sense of LipSense' this morning. I still truly love this product! Nothing comes close to LipSense! For over 4 years now, it has been my go to lip colour. So reliable! So many colours and combinations to create. I am never bored with it. ... This video is worth watching if you are only just discovering the joy of wearing makeup and in particular, makeup that not only stays on, but also complements skin health and our ever changing lifestyle. Here to help with any queries and can't recommend the whole makeup range enough. Foundations, eye shadows, blush and mascaras etc are all exceptional!
