24.01.2022 Rosie and I played tourists today and visited Canberra's Questacon-The national science and technology centre. The current theme was spiders. Watching the spiders was like watching snow melt - mostly uneventful. Among the highlights at Questacon was exploring the dirt under our nails with a microscope which we couldn't see with the naked eye and changing the flow of water with technology. 22.01.2022 18th and 9th June 2016 Yesterday, the 18th, I was part of the Green Team (recycling). I also went to town, had a disco in the evening and on the way back from the disco I saw fire-flies glowing and flickering in the moonlight. They were pretty impressive. 11.01.2022 Tuesday 19th July 2016 Well I have done my two weeks trial as a coach and am waiting to have a meeting with Tom at 2pm to hear whether the NLF coaching team is willing to welcome me as a member. The feedback has been good for the last two weeks and my second workshop was better than the first because my nerves had toned down a bit and I was more philosophical- if I get the job great and if I don't that's okay too. 06.01.2022 9th July 2016 Today 8 of us volunteers and residents from NLF went sight seeing in a local Songtheuw. We saw the famous White Temple -famous in Chiang Rai anyway. We found the red fingernail which is apparently good luck, hidden amongst the hands reaching for salvation. The art inside the temple was amazing. Hidden among religious and cultural images are Nemo from the Matrix movie, Superman, actor Nicolas Cage, an image of the USA twin tower plane crash and other unusual images.
