07.01.2022 Here's a little more about our wonderful Chair, Ros... I joined the Bright Community Bank board six years ago and was voted chair last year. I'm proud to be the first female chair voted by fellow directors. My understanding of the community bank model began after opening an account with the Community Bank when I first moved to Bright - now I'm delighted to have an active role in a bank that has such a positive impact in the region, with more than $450,000 into our local commu...nity since 2006. The magic ingredient in the model is the bank's shareholders they are the reason the bank has the funds available for local projects. When someone buys a share in the bank, they agree that the bank spends 80% of its profit in the community. Customers are the other ingredient more customers mean more profit back into our local towns.
