25.01.2022 Exciting stuff coming #ballaratbusiness #ndisregistered #therapy #occupationaltherapy #speechpathology #bekindballarat

25.01.2022 Ok, let’s cap off OT week fun with a great weekend game! Who doesn’t love paper airplanes! So, get all the family and have a ‘free design and fly’ compitition! The plane the flies further eat after 3 attempts wins! Or, you can have a ‘consistency’ comp where the most distance flown in three flights wins, so no straight down crashes gets the chocolates from one fluke!! The benefit here is that folding paper helps develop our brain for planning and our visual motor skills, wh...ilst helping our hands grow with pushing and folding down. Cool huh?! #ot #OTAustralia #OTweek #OTfun #occupationaltherapy #ndis #finemotoractivities #finemotordevelopment #visualmotorskills

25.01.2022 OT week tip! In celebration of OT week, we have a fun game to try! Grab some old white socks and mix them in a bucket with a range of food dyes or colourings you may have. After they dry, get out the paint and use a paint brush or your fingers (great for fine motor development) and make some crazy unique patterns! We can’t wait to see them!! ... (Tshirts also a great option!!) #ot #OTweek #occupationaltherapy #ballaratbusiness #ballarattherapy #crazysocks #weekendfun #isofun

25.01.2022 Positive news this morning for our families and clients stressed in the community. As previously mentioned, we do and will continue to provide Telehealth supports to any and all who wish to access it. This is an update from Occupational Therapy Australia following advise received from Greg Hunt. OTA received the following advice from Federal Health Minister, Greg Hunt. In light of some states shutting down non-essential services, the Minister has confirmed that ALL allied ...health businesses nationally can continue working and are encouraged to do so. The Minister has also indicated that the Department of Health is now developing full allied health telehealth options, along with other health and medical services, and these will be made known within the week. This will be part of a staged plan and he encourages providers to continue vital face-to-face services where possible. We will continue to provide updates as required and available, but as always please call us if you have any questions. #ballaratbusiness #NDIS #bekindballarat #ballarat #Ballarat Council

20.01.2022 Fine Motor Fun! Got tongs? Got Pom Poms? We have just the activity? Remember our cool socks? Well get your tongs and Pom poms and start making a cool poster! Grab each Pom Pom with tongs to help strengthen up those hands and fingers. Then glue them on and make a cool and crazy picture for the wall or fridge! This will also help develop bilateral coordination and neural brain development for the little ones. Pretty fun for us older folk too! ... #OTweek #OTfun #OTlife #occupationaltherapy #ndis #ndisregistered #OTAustralia #finemotoractivities #finemotordevelopment #handstrength #handdominance #neurogrowth

20.01.2022 September Snow we hope all our lovely families got out and enjoyed the snow in their holidays this afternoon. Some fun fine motor activities in the snow include putting buttons one by one onto your snowman, rolling up snowballs and squashing them in your fingers or drawing patterns into the snow with one finger. Try and write your name! Some may just be happy to stay inside in front of the heater which is fine, but maybe make a snowman out of arts and craft or your favourite Frozen character! #ballarat #ballaratsnow #septembersnow #ballaratbusiness #ballarattherapy #therapyfromhome #therapy #therapyfun #occupationaltherapy #playbasedtherapy

19.01.2022 New week, new supporting rails installed. We had a client needing support following some difficulties in the shower. A rail has helped maintain their independence. Bright Eyes Therapy is here to help you with your goals. Call us today.

19.01.2022 Today, Michael got his flu shot for 2020 to help keep you safe, well and ensure that your therapy can continue throughout the year. Whilst it is important to get yours every year, this year is vital with the new COVID 19. We encourage all to get the #fluvax today!

17.01.2022 What is Telehealth and how does it work? A common question we have received from clients, so I thought Id try and explain. Telehealth is a way to use technology to reach each other for therapy and health needs without the need to meet up face to face. More important than ever now with our efforts to flatten the curve and reduce the spread, it has been in place with us from the very beginning to support clients living out of region and still does today. Telehealth is set up a...t Bright Eyes Therapy on multiple forums and we are happy to discuss with each person what is best for them. We can have discussions, complete assessments and even share screens and resources, all whilst we #stayathome. Call us today on 0460 663 080 to discuss further how we might be able to help #ballaratbusiness #bekindballarat #flattenthecurve #covid19 #ndis #ndisregistered #therapy #therapyfromhome #brighteyestherapy #adaptation #washyourhands #handhygiene See more

16.01.2022 The Parenting For Life series of workshops are in full swing so if you are interested in a particular workshop or a few, please get in touch and book to avoid m...issing out. Places are limited. Also, share through all your networks on FB. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain knowledge and strategies with no cost involved.

15.01.2022 Iso-Dough!! Here are some of the final products our lovely young client made in our session this week! She was awesome, trying new things and touching different textures to support her sensory preferences and exposure to new foods and experiences. This shows that we can still work on therapy goals, while having a great time (and enjoying the spoils!) OT can help you with regulating your sensory preferences, emotions or helping with daily life skills like cooking, plus so much more! Even Michael learnt a thing or two about making pretzels here!
