23.01.2022 Its been a great week here at bright minds exploring the great blue which is this years science week theme. Kinder explored the impact of what happens to our waterways travelling from the mountains into the see. Richard gave a visual example of the impact from livestock and farming, housing pollution and natural elements. Babies and toddlers explored the colour blue with finger painting, ice with sea animals and making blue volcanos. ... 3 year old and pre kinder rooms explored the parts of the ocean and pollution in our oceans and used magnifying glasses to explore sea shells from our oceans.

21.01.2022 3 year old 1 have been spending the last 2 weeks visiting the Wabdallah Reserve. They have been collecting rubbish, exploring on the branches and trees, looking for fairies under the logs and seeing what animals they could find. 15.01.2022 Thanks Teresa for our amazing obstacle course. The children loved being out in the sunshine practising balance, coordination, jumping, crawling walking, eye hand control and many aspects of gross motor. Most of all we had the best fun ever.

15.01.2022 Today was Educators Day and we wanted to celebrate the importance of early childhood education and the special kind people it takes to be an educator. We spoilt our team with a lolly bar, tacos and nachos for lunch and each educator was gifted a succulent from our propogation station that we have been growing from the start of the year, with a kind message of appreciation for each member of our team. A big thank you to all of our families who shared kind messages that have now been shared on the tree at our entrance. Also a big thank you for the families who brought down slice, chocolates and a beautiful home made welcome sign, you are all the reason we are here everyday.

15.01.2022 Yesterday Pre Kinder 2 had a bbq in the Harmony garden as a part of their bush project. The children enjoyed having sausages in bread and watching Megan do the cooking.

07.01.2022 Yesterday Annie took a small group down to our multi purpose space to practise their music and sign language. The children have really taken to learning sign as a different way to communicate through music. We were just lucky enough to capture such a beautiful and pure moment.

Please remember to wear your masks into the service and limit the amount of people to 1 guardian at pick up and drop offs and dont forget to sanitise. Our educators wont be wearing the masks during their interactions with the children but will be outside of the rooms. Lets get through this by working together.

04.01.2022 For Daffodil Day not only did we wear yellow we did some garden and pizza making in the juniors room.

04.01.2022 Yesterday there was lots of cooking happening at Bright Minds. After a group discussion in the Pre Kinder 2 Room the children made the choice to make pancakes. Cooking with children provides practical experience with many essential skills such as exploring their senses of smell and taste as well as following directions, measuring and safety when cooking and of course the best part of cooking is eating what you have made Over in 3 Year Old 1 they have been focusing on a different country each month, this month it is MEXICO. As a group they helped prepare the ingredients and salads for tacos and then got to choose between a soft and hard taco. Then they all sat together and picked what they would like in their taco for lunch while listen to music from Mexico.

03.01.2022 It was all hands on deck to create a town in kinder yesterday with Harrison, Riley, Oliver and Cian working together to build a masterpiece. Meanwhile Charlie and Jeylan were working in the salon with the educator Amy doing her nails and her hair. Sam and Cooper were using the catalogs to choose the toys they would like for their birthdays and using the scissors to navigate around each item. All different activities happening while the children are creating and learning through play.

02.01.2022 Wednesday the 2nd of September is Early Childhood Educators Day. We want to thank the educators on a personal level for how INCREDIBLE they are, especially through such a difficult time. We would love for our families to contribute by posting something they love about our educators here at Bright Minds. Please send through these messages by email, on our Facebook post or write a note using the paper on the trolley in the foyer and put it in the basket. We will then hang all of the messages on our tree for the educators to read over the next few weeks.

01.01.2022 The children in kinder 3 loved using their activity bags at quiet time today. They are filled with natural reasources and loose parts from the resource room. They use their imagination and creativity to create their own play.
