18.01.2022 Enough is enough. The United Nations General Assembly has designated 25 November as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The premise of the day is to raise awareness of the fact that women around the world are subject to rape, domestic violence and other forms of violence; furthermore, one of the aims of the day is to highlight that the scale and true nature of the issue is often hidden. The four Greater Hobart Mayors stand together with one voice to say enough is enough when it comes to violence against women.

04.01.2022 What's not right with this recycle bin? Our crew discovered why the bin hadn't been emptied by the truck when they opened it up. If plastic can be ‘scrunched’ it must NOT go in your kerbside recycling bin. Why? Any kind of soft plastic gets jammed in the sorting machines and gets mixed up with paper, causing contamination. Instead? Drop soft plastic in the REDCycle recycling bins at Coles and Woolworths. And definitely no food waste or green waste in recycling please.
