24.01.2022 GAME ON! In what was a very exciting day of cricket, the Grand Final saw great things from both sides. Louis Dade won the toss and sent in the Goodwood side. A shaky start saw the nerves come out from the Bombers as Goodwood went guns blazing early and were 0/30 after 5. Lee and Chris Beaty slowed things down for a while before Goodwood's openers hit a few more and after 13 overs were 0/57. Jayson Bartolo made the breakthrough nicking off one of the openers for 20. The number... three batsman was out not long after caught at deep fine leg. The third wicket partnership was a long one, but with what ended up being the last ball before tea, Marcus bowled the other opener for 67. The second ball after tea Marcus struck again, trapping the number 5 batsman lbw. Then in his next over the number 6 batter followed suit chopping on to Lee for his third wicket in two overs. C. Beaty nicked off the number seven and Goodwood had lost four wickets for fourteen runs. A frustrating seventh wicket partnership was ended with a good catch from Brody Trembath seeing out the last of the top order batsman. They lost another four wickets for ten runs as Aaron Beaty and Marcus Lee cleaned up the tail. The boys dismissing Goodwood for 168. Skip and Aaron were set four overs to face before stumps and saw them out picking five runs along the way. #GrandFinal #BrightonFinals #TheCauldron #YearOfRedemption #Binga #cbs #Skip50 #WeGoAgain #BCCvGWD See more

Skipper, Louis Dade, will lead the boys in today's game, in what will be his 50th cap for the club. While young guns, Jake Beaumont, Jack McAuliffe and James Reid will play in their first ever Grand Final. Senior all-rounder Marcus Lee addressed the media yesterday saying "Finals experience in big games is crucial and having players like Leo, Chris, Aaron, Chalmers and myself, is really important in clutch moments." Make sure you are out at Brighton Oval to watch the mighty Bombers take on Goodwood in the Grand Final of the 2014/15 season. #BrightonFinals #GrandFinal #YearOfRedemption #BombersFlyUp #BCCvGWD #YearOfTheBomber #Skip50

16.01.2022 Feel free to invite yourself to the Grand Final! We couldn't have gotten there without your support so come out one last time to support the Mighty Bombers

14.01.2022 It's #MatchdaySunday once again and the Brighton Cricket Club head back up to Grange Oval to take on the Dolphins bowling attack in the most important innings our lads have played all season. We resume at 1pm today with the Bombers rolling Grange for 116 with Dade and C. Beaty the stars with the ball and Grange picked up the late wicket of Skip as the boys are 1/15 chasing 102 more runs to win. We spoke with number four batsman, Jack Chalmers, this morning and was asked about... the team's preparation, "The boys are not taking this lightly, it's one of those smaller totals that can be difficult to chase down, a couple of early wickets could send some nerves through the boys, so we'll be playing these 72 overs like any other and hopefully we can see a win and book ourselves a spot in the Grand Final." Jack Chalmers is the next man in as A. Beaty and Bartolo take to the crease at 1pm this afternoon at Grange Oval. #BrightonFinals #BCCvGCC #YearOfRedemption #ThePeoplesTeam #BombersFlyUp #SemiFinal #ChalmersCordial See more

02.01.2022 Brighton have booked their spot in a home grand final after defeating Grange by six wickets today at Grange Oval. A. Beaty and Jayson Bartolo came to the crease after losing one wicket last week, and got the boys off to the perfect start. Aaron taking on the slips and playing some fine late cuts, while Jayson completely covered the wagon wheel with a wide range of shots in an exciting 52 run partnership. Eventually A. Beaty fell trying to late cut one too many for 25 and the ...boys were 2/63. Bartolo carried on from there and Chalmers joined him in another big partnership. Bartolo raised his bat for a half century, going on to smack the opening bowler for six over midwicket. Jayson was bowled trying to smack another one over midwicket and was bowled. Jake Beaumont was given a push up the order but unfortunately popped one up early and was out caught and bowled. Jack McAuliffe came in and played an anchor role as Chalmers hit the winning runs and then brought up his 50. The game was eventually called due to the fact that the result had no chance of changing and the boys will face Goodwood in the Grand Final at the cauldron next Sunday, #BrightonFinals #HomeFinal #ChalmersCordial #KingBartolo #BCCvGCC #YearOfRedmption #BringItOn See more
