Ash will be joined by Ryan Palk (National Pathway Coordinator - Kite foil racing), Previously Ryan was an Australian Sailing Team athlete in the Laser Class, campaigning for both London 2012 and Rio 2016, Ryan shifted his focus to coaching primarily in the Laser Class at first, before transitioning to the Kite Folil class. 14.01.2022 Covid 19 Update I am sure you are all aware of the latest outbreak in South Australia and as a result of this new restrictions have been imposed on sporting and licenced venues. The local government are hopeful that they have acted fast enough and we are all hopeful that this will only last for the two weeks suggested.... Effective immediately Suspension of all indoor and outdoor sport training and competition (for two weeks initially, to be reviewed) A maximum of 100 people in a Club Private functions capped at 50 people Capacities back to 4m2 per person Maximum number of 10 people for group bookings No standing drinking (indoor or outdoor) This means that all sailing schools and training have been cancelled and that Saturday sailing has also been cancelled. The bar will still be open as usual, every day from 4:30pm. We will still operate the weekly quiz and the Friday night bistro albeit with reduced capacity. You will be required to book a table for these two nights so we can control numbers and ensure we remain compliant. Our capacity is as follows:- Mariners Bar - 33 Upper Deck 76 Front Lawn 55 Boat Park - 231 Overall venue 100 Max The Caboose will still be open Friday Sunday with reduced hours for the next two weeks, 9am 3pm serving a range of fresh coffee, cakes and hot and cold meals. We ask you stay at home if you are experiencing any symptoms and urge you to get yourself tested. Whilst at the club please maintain a good level of hand hygiene and use the sanitiser provided regularly. Please remember to try and maintain the recommended social distancing requirements. The Covid Marshal's on duty will ask you to be seated, please be courteous, they are just doing their jobs. Any abusive behaviour will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave. We are hopeful that we will get on top of this and we can all get back to enjoying a summer full our sailing.

On Saturday 27th we are goi...ng to sail from Christies Sailing Club, calling past Brighton & Seacliff Yacht Club, Somerton Yacht Club, Adelaide Sailing Club, Henley Sailing Club, Largs Bay Sailing Club, Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia. Hopefully the breeze will be up so we can show how the VX One goes downwind. Keep a look out for us. See more

11.01.2022 Powerboat handling course today-what a great day out we all had under the confident instruction of our own sailing Professional- Brett and his instructors-Cam and Alex with help from Craig- we had a go at driving 3 different RIBS and the Stessl -going at speed, doing figure 8s, reversing and anchoring. We learnt MOB and dropping a person to shore. We went to Glenelg to see the chanel and cardinal markers in real life we stopped for hot chips and coffee -great chips Joel!!! ...-then swapped around for the trip home to learn about winching the RIBS onto the trailer from off the beach and in the water. We finished with a written test to cap off a day of achievement and confidence building! Super course Brett!!! - if you get a chance to do this you wont be dissapointed.
