18.01.2022 Is time moving at a different pace for you in lockdown? Trains, meetings and appointments all used to be our context clues, but these have shifted. Losing our usual time landmarks is further impacted by some people having higher or lower innate time awareness #brightonchiro

15.01.2022 Based on the recommendations of the Victorian Government, we will remain available to provide restricted Chiropractic services to our community. Our opening times have been amended significantly to reflect this. Chiropractic remains an essential service, but during the Stage four Lockdown we are only accepting patients who require urgent care. This means that you must be experiencing significant pain or disability and that not receiving care may result in a significant deterioration of your condition. If you are unsure of your suitability please call the clinic to discuss.

07.01.2022 It's R U OK?Day, a reminder that every day is a day to start a conversation that could change a life. Today we're calling on Australians to learn what to say af...ter R U OK? so they can keep the conversation going when someone says they're not OK. There's more to say after R U OK? Learn what to say when listening with an open mind Learn what to say when encouraging action Learn what to say when checking in Learn how to continue a conversation that could change a life. When we know what to say next we can help someone open up and find pathways to support long before they're in crisis. Learn what to say next and help us move closer to our vision of a world where we're all connected and are protected from suicide. Head to www.ruok.org.au/how-to-ask

04.01.2022 Are you looking forward to getting back to pre-lockdown exercise routines? The good news - your body is amazing, and as long as your general health hasn’t dramatically changed, implementing the right training regimen even after a period of inactivity can allow you to rebuild that strength and endurance you may have lost. But listen to your body as you go. You’ll want to push it so that you're gradually challenged, but not stressed. That can be a fine line, so pay attention to warning signals such as pain, tightness, or discomfort. #brightonchiro #getmovingkeepmoving

04.01.2022 Poor posture can lead to excessive strain on our postural muscles and may even cause them to relax, when held in certain positions for long periods of time. You can typically see this in people who bend forward at the waist for a prolonged time in the workplace. Their postural muscles are more prone to injury and back pain. Long-standing postural problems will typically take longer to address than short-lived ones, as often the joints have adapted to your long-standing poor posture. Conscious awareness of your own posture and knowing what posture is correct will help you consciously correct yourself. #brightonchiro #posture

04.01.2022 Happy Monday everyone!. Whether you’re managing at your normal pace or are focused on just making it through the next Zoom meeting, it doesn’t matter. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other you’re doing great.#brightonchiro
