22.01.2022 U8 & U11 Results tonight from 6:30. Bar and Kitchen open, volunteers needed. SL Women Brighton v Burnside under lights Friday night at 6:30. Bar and Kitchen open, volunteers needed. Another Big Saturday at the Bomberdrome with games all day and SL Men Brighton v Woodville under lights at 6:30. Everything open, many volunteers needed!... Over the next 3 days we are really going to need everyones help, especially in our kitchen, bars, canteen and BBQ. With only a few weeks left of the season its really important for the club to make the most of our wonderful new facilities, both on training nights and for home games. Last Saturday was a massive success and the club raised some much needed money, now its time to do it all over again and we need everyones support to make it happen. Teams have been rostered on to help on Saturday, for our younger junior teams we ask that parents get involved as much as possible to supervise. If you can come down before your game or hang around after your game and help out it would be greatly appreciated. While you need an RSA certificate to serve alcohol behind the bar there are still ways to help if you dont, as a cashier on the till or simply picking up empty glasses, bottles and cans. For those dining upstairs please take a minute to clean up after yourselves and put things in the appropriate bin. The club recycles all our bottles and cans and we rely on that income, so please take a second to use the right bin, as it makes that job much easier. The last couple of weeks have shown what a great facility we now have and how well we can run an event. It takes a lot of helpers to make that happen and its really important that everyone within our player, parent and supporter groups roll up their sleeves and get involved, please. If you can help please message here with your name, what areas and what times or email Sam V. [email protected] Lets do this Bombers! See you at the club

22.01.2022 If youre heading to Brighton tomorrow for a bit of lax action please keep the following in mind. - stay at home if you are unwell - sanitise and wash your hands thoroughly and regularly - practice good physical distancing by staying 1.5m away from others... - if you are enjoying an alcoholic beverage at the ground please ensure you are seated whilst drinking - strict numbers of patrons are allowed in the clubrooms and balcony at any one time - please follow any directions provided by our COVID Marshals. Its not the greatest job to perform so please make it easier for them - we recommend bringing your own chair if you wish to drink alcohol whilst watching a game - there are two public toilets on the field-facing side of the club on the left corner plus toilets upstairs inside the clubrooms - the change rooms are NOT to be used by spectators Have a great day!

21.01.2022 A big shout out to Riang Lim for running the RSA course last night at the club and for donating your time last night to help over 20 of us achieve our qualification (hopefully we all passed LoL) We had a large range of players, parents and community members attend. Clare Lindop one of our council members also attended and will donate her time this weekend on the bar. ... Great workshop awesome to see our community connecting. However you dont need your RSA to donate your time in the canteen or on the BBQ. Sam Voysey has the roster so reach out by emailing [email protected], to any other committee member, or comment here if you can fill any blanks before or after your or your childs game. 15 mins or an hour doesnt matter as every little bit helps.

21.01.2022 If you're interested in the North American Native history of lacrosse, please watch this short documentary, gratis, through November 30th. Please share. Thanks.

04.01.2022 Need a lax fix? Tomorrow night the Bombers v Grizzlies at AFL Max. See you there!

03.01.2022 Attention all U8 and U11 coaches, players and parents. After spending all of the season so far sitting in cars, out in the cold or in the shed for training we will be opening up stairs for our first results session this Thursday night. It will be wonderful to see you all up there. (Please note we are limited to 90 people upstairs and 30 on the balcony and you must be seated if consuming alcohol).... We will be offering meals from the kitchen, but we will require junior parents to help with cooking serving and cleanup. I cannot stress enough that if we do not have help from junior parents for the kitchen and the bar we will not be able to hold results, so please let us know by comment or email to either the junior boys or girls coordinators. We would like to open the bar from 5 p.m. and have meals ready to serve by 6 p.m. To work behind the bar you will require an RSA (responsible service of alcohol) certificate we are holding a training session at the club tonight, which we still have several spots available. We only have 4 weeks remaining of a very short and challenging season and we really need all our members to help support the club. Not only by putting money over the bar, canteen and kitchen, but by helping out behind them as well. Lets go BOMBERS! Cheers Webby

03.01.2022 REMINDER: Please note that Brighton Lacrosse Club is having its 2020 Annual General Meeting on Monday 30 November. 6.45pm for a 7.00pm start. See you there. Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions.

02.01.2022 If you wont be at Glenelg tonight watching our mighty SL women play for a spot in the GF then catch all the action on Lacrosse SA TV. Go Bombers!!!

02.01.2022 See you there. It will be a great day to watch some quality lacrosse.

02.01.2022 We have a massive day coming up at the Bomberdrome this Saturday and we really need the help of all our players and their families to make it a success. We have junior and Senior Games running all day and our state league teams playing under lights that evening. Any of our members that have an RSA certificate are asked to help us in the upstairs and downstairs bars, anyone who would like to do the course we are holding one tomorrow night at the club and there are still a cou...ple of spots left. We will be holding junior results upstairs from 4:30 and we ask our junior parents to make themselves available to help in the bars, canteen, BBQ or kitchen. Its been a challenging season and with only a couple of opportunities to open up the club and make the most of it before the season finishes we ask everyone to make the effort to help out around your club. We are also looking for parents that are able to help out with Bar & Kitchen duty on Thursday night as we would love to be able to open the upstairs and enjoy the facilities. It will be far more comfortable than sitting in your car or outside in the cold as we have been for the season so far. The committee and a number of our members have worked very hard to get us to a point where we can open the clubrooms, now we need the help of our members and supporters to operate it. So please roll up your sleeves and let us know when you are available to help. We appreciate your help and look forward to seeing you Thursday night and Saturday. Cheers Webby
