Big Ted knows that if he sees or hears something that makes him feel sad, scared or worried online he needs to ask a grown-up for help. It is important children know they will never get in trouble for asking for help. 04.01.2022 During these times of uncertainty, the students at Brighton Primary School are certain of one thing and that is that creativity cures all. At the beginning of t...erm two, students who were required to be at school have begun to create a colourful space in their school by painting a wall mural. They turned a dull-looking place in the school into an attractive, colourful masterpiece. The colourful mural shows everything doesnt have to be dark and gloomy. Brighton Primary is a 24 Carrot Garden School, which means it has a wonderful garden which students help cultivate and learn how to cook what they grow. The painting on the mural is of a beautiful garden filled with butterflies, caterpillars, ladybugs, dragonflies, flowers, fish and a cocoon. See more

In support of national advice, the Department recommends the following for our students and staff: Those who have been in close contact with a confimed coronavirus case should not attend school or childcare and remain in their homes for 14 days following exposure; and Those who have recently visited Hubei Province in China should not attend school or childcare and remain in their homes for 14 days after departure. The Australian Government has advised that there is no cause for alarm and the risk to the public is currently low. At this time there are no confirmed cases in Tasmania.
