24.01.2022 Term 2 Brighton Swim School endeavours to deliver learn to swim to our community and we appreciate customers support during this time. We can ensure that term 2 will proceed and we will be going forward with our standard re enrolment method being a two-week deposit. If the commencement date of term two is readjusted, please be advised so to will your bookings to reflect the accurate re opening date. Then upon commencement of term two the remaining balance will be due. This ...is in the best interest of our customers so you can be rest assured you will not lose any payments for lessons that do not go ahead in term 2. Swimming is a great way to ensure your child can retain some normality in a safe and healthy environment and will further aid as a great refresh as we try and return to normality in the future months. Current Swimmers: We ask for your confirmation on your child's swimming enrolment to be completed by the 29th March 2020. A confirmed booking needs a deposit payment to be made. This can be done by seeing our staff at your next lesson or requesting transfer details below through the 'confirm now' button. Re joining Swimmers: If you have previously swam with us and wish to re join please contact our centre to make and secure a booking for term 2, as we would love to see you back around the pool. New Clients: Please feel free to contact our centre to ensure we can find the right level, class, day and time for your child. New swimmers are welcome to commence swimming at any point throughout term. With the current COVID restrictions there may be some scheduling changes. Monday, November 23rd will see a further easing of restrictions with an increase in the indoor pool number limits. 23.01.2022 Coronavirus Update - March 10 As we continue to be updated regarding the Coronavirus, it is of upmost importance that Brighton Swim School continues to take advice and direction from the department of Health, to ensure we create a healthy and safe environment for all our patrons. On March 10th, the Department of Health released COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) controls and asks the following,... In the last 14 days, if you have visited any of the higher risk countries listed below, have been in close contact with a person with COVID-19 or have travelled overseas and are experiencing flu-like symptoms, to stay at home. High Risk Countries include: Mainland China Iran South Korea Italy Moderate Risk Countries include: Japan Hong Kong Singapore Thailand Indonesia Cambodia (Based on the Australian Government list of countries of concern (www.health.gov.au/covid19-countries). 21.01.2022 Dear All, Due to the rapidly developing situation with COVID-19, we have been directed by the Victorian State Government to suspend all swimming lessons at Brighton Swim School, effective immediately. The health and wellbeing of our students, staff and wider community is our main priority and we will continue to follow the direction of our State and Federal Governments. Brighton Swim School will continue to deliver learn to swim to our community in the future. Therefore, any ...missed lessons within term 1, due to the health crisis, will be available to be used as a makeup when we return to normal services. Furthering on, any payments that have already been made for term 2 will be credited to your family’s file and can be used in the foreseeable future. We appreciate all the kind words and gestures our team has received over the last few weeks. 17.01.2022 At this stage we would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. In light of the recent Coronavirus outbreak COVID-19, our team would like to reassure you that we are doing everything we can to keep our customers, staff and community safe and healthy. At this stage our centre is low risk and ensure our pools are closely monitored, regularly tested and balanced. This being our main focus to allow our families to continue enjoying their swimming. ...To ensure we continue to take all preventative measures we ask customer’s to further comply with the following health and safety guidelines: - If you or your children are unwell with a fever, extreme fatigue, infection or any gastro, please keep them home until those symptoms subside. As always, if you are unable to attend a lesson within term 1 you will be eligible for a makeup policy in line with our policy. - Hand washing is the key to prevent the spread of germs. We ask all customers to kindly wash their hands when they enter our centre prior to their lessons. Please also be rest assured the chlorine within the pool helps further kill germs. - Practice measures that reduce the spread of germs by coughing or sneezing into your arm or tissue rather than your hand. Encourage your children to do the same. When entering our centre, you will notice we have decided to keep our sliding doors open to allow a better flow of fresh air. This also means our outside seating area (at front of building) is perfect for families to sit and enjoy to further implement social distancing. 14.01.2022 Coronavirus Update - March 13 The situation and information about the COVID-19 virus is changing rapidly. Please read this update further to and in conjunction with our March 10 Update below, as all precautions remain accurate. As always, the safety of our clients and community is our top priority and Brighton Swim School will continue to monitor the situation and keep our community updated.We encourage our clients and community to monitor the following resources for the late...st advice and information. At Brighton Swim School we are following the advice of the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services which recommends the following to reduce your risk of COVID-19: Wash hands often with soap and running water, for at least 20 seconds. Dry with paper towel or hand dryer Try not to touch your eyes, nose or mouth Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. If you don’t have a tissue cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve or elbow Isolate yourself at home if you feel sick with flu-like symptoms. If you take medication ensure you have adequate supplies Phone your GP first if you need medical attention. They will tell you what to do Continue healthy habits: exercise, drink water, get plenty of sleep. Don't wear a face mask if you are well Buy an alcohol-based hand sanitiser with over 60 per cent alcohol Get the flu shot (available from April) Shaking hands is optional!
