20.01.2022 BRIGHT RED - WE WIN FAIR PLAY AWARD A big congratulations to our Bright Red SAP members, who came home as winners of the Fair Play award after playing their hearts out at the 10th Edition of the Boys & Girls Tournament that was hosted in Bendigo at the end of March. We are very proud of our boy's and girl's and look forward to helping them grow so they reach their full potential into the future. It was a lovely sight to see them walkout side by side with our seniors at our la...st home match, along with providing half time exhibition entertainment with their 5v5 games. All players showcased the skills they have been learning and practicing at our Academy training sessions. A big thank you to all those who attended. 13.01.2022 COACH & PLAYER LEARNING OPPORTUNITY A reminder to all that Melbourne Victory’s General Manager of Technical and Coaching, Rob Sherman will be in Wodonga tomorro...w evening to conduct a coaches education session and a training clinic for the clubs Youth players. We are delighted that Melbourne Victory are reaching out and extending their support into regional areas by providing coach development opportunities and continued identification opportunities for our players. Born in Wales, Sherman played professionally for Cardiff City Football Club, Swansea City Football Club and Hull City. He’s worked as the Wales National U-16 Coach, working with players like Gareth Bale. More recently, Sherman has held positions as Technical Director of the Welsh FA and NZ Football as well as Advanced Coaching Manager for Football Federation Australia (FFA). Sherman has also presented coaching courses here and abroad. Rob is held in very high regard and holds a wealth of football knowledge and experience. It’s hard to think of a time when the Border has had an opportunity to learn from such a highly respected and qualified technical football professional says Adam Carty. Our aim is to continue working with Melbourne Victory by keeping in regular contact to further improve our club and to promote Melbourne Victory initiatives. We will provide opportunities for Albury-Wodonga Football Association players and coaches from the community to sit-in, observe and gain an insight into high performance pathways via NPL Victoria, A-League and beyond. 08.01.2022 Big congratulations to our Bright Red players for winning the Fairplay award at the Boys&Girls Bendigo Tournament 2018! Such an important award, showing always good values. They all had a great day last weekend, walking out with the seniors team and playing games on the main pitch at half time. Well done guys, keep up the good work!

04.01.2022 Thanks to all who attended to our school holidays clinics the last 2 weeks in Yackandandah, Wangaratta and Albury. I hope all kids enjoyed theirselves and had a fantastic time. Here some pics of them working hard and having fun with different activities. ... We are now calling everyone to join our Bright Red program, Term 2 starting next Monday 30 April. Initial groups will be selected for the first week and an email will go out to all registered players with their time slot. Once the coaches have had time to consider the groups in light of coach availability, age, skill level and player availability, new groups will be announced in the following week. 02.01.2022 What a week! Our U9's and U11's teams traveled to Canberra to compete at the Kanga Cup. A week long tournament meant we stayed all together at Leumeah Lodge Hotel and had the opportunity to make new friends and set up various activities such as : analyzing our recorded games , watching the world cup, exploring telstra tower and Questacon, and playing 7v7 next to the Parliament House.... On the field our teams got a chance to showcase the skills they learn in training and we are very proud of the effort and determination they showed in every game, Big thanks to all players/ coaches and parents for giving us the opportunity to set up this event, and for the sacrifice everyone makes for the players and their soccer development journeys.
