20.01.2022 This is Henry. He is a hammerhead shark. Did you know because Hammerhead sharks live in both shallow and deep water they are one of the few animals that can actually tan in the sun like humans! They also can see 360 degrees - above and below them - because of the placement of their eyes!... Cool huh! Henry was one of the first shark artworks I created. 19.01.2022 I revamped this old design. Originally painted onto a big canvas that hangs in my living room, then I was commissioned to paint it into a huge wall mural. My favorite thing I miss about skate art workshops with kids is their creativity hasnt been ignored out of them yet! They always have the coolest ideas & often just a tiny bit of encouragement to share their crazy ideas is all it takes to see them embrace art & being creative. 16.01.2022 Confirmation my next shipment of blank skateboards are on their way has me super excited to paint more skateboards & getting some cool art packs happening so you can also create your own skateboard artworks! This super fun idea Ive had in my head since April this year! A client wanted a mural painted that was as happy, bright & fun as possible! So after my little happy dance at a brief that fits me 100% - I got started on doing the most happy, bright & fun design I could. So... whats happier then a damn daisy flower throwing up a rainbow! ... right! This is the brightest most fun idea Ive had! So the mural went a bit more of a surfy way (also was so stoked with!) but left me with a sick idea and no where to create it. 06.01.2022 So a while ago I started painting these astronaut characters. It started with a meditating Astronaut, and added skateboarding, surfer astronauts and of course this guy I dubbed Astro-dude. These Astronaut designs ended up being a super unconscious reflection of my own personal experiences and state of mind I was in when I created them ... it took me a while to see this and put the art & timing & the awareness of my mentality at the time all together. So this Astro-Dude was cr...eated during a time in my life when the ocean was everything to me. I had to be in salt water at least once a day otherwise I felt like I was losing my mind & couldnt focus on anything. Surfing, kitesurfing, stand up paddle boarding - I used anything to get me into the water. But I distinctly remember early mornings, sneaking out of the house so I dont wake up the dogs (or the Missus!). And heading to the closest surf beach I could... I remember watching sunrises on the highways & thinking of all those random thoughts when driving long roads ... but the funny thing with surfing, sometimes you get the waves & sometimes you dont. I think I was dressed up ready to paddle out at least three times a week for a good month ... and didnt catch one single wave! I was literally standing on the shore watching the flat ocean & it gave me all the space and time to think & be silent with myself and the ocean... and this artwork is what came out during that time in my life, my Astro-dude waiting for those waves. Im still not 100% sure of the lesson (if anything!) but it makes for a good story & all came together for this cool design, a rad Art Wall Decal to bring those surf vibes to any room in your house.

There is always another way to do things, to see the world. Its not about being different for the sake of being different- but about being true to your own style, expressing yourself authentically and creating what is rad for you... not trying to be part of any trend or exploiting any community. Thats what my art is to me, inspiring others to be creative in their own way. Exploring themselves and discovering how they can best express their own selves.
