12.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE: There have been important changes made as per recommendations from the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services effective immediately regarding who should be tested for COVID-19. The following people now meet the criteria to be tested: - People who have fevers or chills without another explanation for this condition - People with an acute respiratory infection characterised by cough, sore throat or shortness of breath... - People who have these other symptoms (headache, muscle aches, runny or stuffy nose, inability to smell, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea) AND who have been a close contact to a confirmed case of COVID-19 or returned overseas within last 14 days. This means that more patients may be asked by their GP to get tested. At Brightside Medical, assessment for eligibility will be coordinated on the phone via Telehealth prior to an offer for face to face consultation. We appreciate this is a lot of information to take in and we would recommend speaking to your GP for specific information. 01.01.2022 We tried something different today! Very grateful to have Victoria our nurse work from home and we think it was a great success! Victoria has been a nurse for 4 years and has worked at Brightside Medical since July 2019. She is passionate about her work and loves to take blood, even better when it’s a challenging vein. She has a 2 year old cat named Flynn and you’ll either find her at the beach or with family when she is not at work. #workingfromhome #hiflynn #brightsidemedical #gpwilliamstown #williamstowngp #dreamteam
