25.01.2022 Thank you to the generous Brigidine community for your donations to Share the Dignity. This organisation supports people experiencing poverty with the provision of packs made up of personal items. Since Share the Dignity was founded, 2.5 million period products have been donated to people experiencing homelessness or fleeing domestic violence. We are proud to support this charity.

19.01.2022 Sporting News Congratulations to Holly and Allegra who have been selected for the U12s and U13s QLD City State Futsal teams respectively to compete in the 2021 National Club Championships. They were both selected after competing in the Regional Championships, representing West Moreton. These dedicated players will continue to train once a week at the Atletico Brisbane Academy until the championships in 2021.

18.01.2022 We love celebrating the talents of our students and are pleased to share that two Year 12 students, Romina and Savannah, have been nominated for Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art. These two students have worked to develop their artworks from a personal context, depicting their experience of immigration in Australia. Award winners will be announced on 6 October.

16.01.2022 Our Year 11 students have excelled in their recent dance film project which was site-specific. Students had to research/consider the site's history and architecture to inspire movement and enhance meaning. The purpose was to challenge the audience to reflect on a prevalent topic/issue. Dance develops critical thinking and problem solving, and also builds literacy skills. Our dedicated dancers are organised and become better learners in their academic pursuits. We love that they share their talents with us. #shapingwomenofourtime

16.01.2022 Our young women have greatly benefited from recent Friday afternoon workshops with Dr Ziora from The University of Queensland. In these sessions, students have discussed COVID-19; what it looks like and what equipment is needed. They have enjoyed setting up plates and learning about aseptic techniques. They also loved testing actual extracts from natural products that UQ are working on, to see if they will slow up growth of microorganisms e.g. bacteria. Thank you so much UQ, Dr Ziora and Ms Guthrie for this invaluable program. #shapingwomenofourtime

16.01.2022 All the best to Year 9 student Emma who will be dancing with the Australasian Dance Collective Youth Ensemble at QPAC this weekend (and for the Brisbane Festival in September). Emma has been working hard the last 6 months learning the choreography via zoom classes and just recently back in the studio. Emma will also be presenting a 3 minute solo film during Echo that she produced and directed entitled Awakening that explores the transcendence of inner growth.

10.01.2022 On Friday 31 July, Brigidine College officially opened the Marian Centre, a new multilevel, architectural building designed by Blight Rayner Architecture and constructed by Alder Constructions. Our vision for the Marian Centre is to provide learning in a sustainable building for our young women to be a difference in the world, shared Principal Brendan Cahill. 03.01.2022 National Finalists Congratulations to critical thinkers Isobel, Imogen, Rosie and Ashleigh who have made it to the National Finals for the Senior Problem Solving Division in the Future Problem Solving Program. This talented Year 11 team has been guided by coaches Shelly Alonso and Renee Dunne. Our students will compete on 16 October against teams across the nation.
