24.01.2022 As you may know, the weather forecast for tomorrow doesnt look great for our twilight meeting. The committee will endeavour to make a decision in the early afternoon about whether or not we proceed. If we cant go ahead tomorrow, our backup plan is to run the twilight meeting next Tuesday 25th February instead. Championship day on Saturday will go ahead as planned.

24.01.2022 With LAVic making the tough decision to cancel the Cross Country season for 2019/20, some centres have been creative and offering alternative options. Brimbank Little Athletics Centre will be following the great idea of one of our fellow Cross Country teams, Williamstown Little Athletics Centre, and hold a virtual cross country season. The season will start on Saturday 2nd of May and run until Saturday 11th of July (11 weeks). This is all about our athletes getting outside an...d keeping fit during this time of isolation. How this will work: Run the distance specified by LAVic. You can run further but please make sure you are only recording the time for the distance allocated to your age group. Your distance may differ slightly each week but its important that athletes run the same track each week. U6-U8 1km U9-U10 1.5km U11-U12 2km U13-U16 3km Email your name, age group and time (minutes and seconds) to Tamara at [email protected] each week by 5pm Sunday. At the end of the 11 weeks all athletes will receive a participation medal. A few notes: As per Government guidelines, exercise should be undertaken near your residence and observing the 1.5m social distancing rules. If youd prefer using a treadmill you may have at home, thats fine! You must compete in 8 out of the 11 weeks to qualify for a participation medal. Most of all dont forget its all about improving your time! Remember take some photos in your Brimbank uniform and send them through so we can post on the Facebook page. Have fun!
