25.01.2022 Drastically reducing my salt intake 7 years ago changed my health profile to the point of feeling wellbeing and a new lease on life.

25.01.2022 I feel like I should go to the head of the class! Very interesting documentary. Watch it and make your mind up for yourself. I found that this documentary supports my position on healthy eating, which I have personally tested by managing my pattern of chronic inflammation for the last 6 years. Low fat, low sugar and low salt cooking methods using lots of vegetables, grains, legumes, dairy and small amount of animal protein. I also agree that the nature of social media being the vehicle that it is changes the context of information and has created a new minefield to navigate in the quest to educate ourselves about our health.

23.01.2022 Something to contemplate - Our food choices can be broken down to these couple of simple phrases.

22.01.2022 Onions form the base of most tasty dishes. This method uses no oil or fat, yet creates delicious sweet sticky tasty onions. I recommend preparing your onions in batches and freeze to use as needed. Enjoy! http://brindabellamovementtherapies.com.au/water-fry-onion/

21.01.2022 Today I was privileged to be invited by the International Institute of Health Sciences - School of Physiotherapy in Sri Lanka to provide a workshop on Manual Therapies. The School is affiliated with 6 Universities in Australia but the cost of a student coming to Australia to complete their degree is prohibitive for a developing country. The UK is the most cost effective option for these students but this is still only an option for more resourced families in Sri Lanka. These students are very motivated to improve the quality of lives for people that they treat.

21.01.2022 I thought this is worth sharing. A very interesting example of creating pristine sustainable produce for the future. https://youtu.be/njnhfF1jOc0

18.01.2022 If you use natural therapies at all, I recommend having a read of "our Health Your Choice". If you feel strongly enough about the right to continue using natural therapies or herbs or supplements you sign the online partition requesting a Senate inquiry into the bias being expressed by the NHMRC

16.01.2022 I am always banging on about reducing salt in the diet. I cant stress how important it is for overall health, but in particular for those that are affected by inflammation throughout their body. The article includes some valuable reference points for just how much salt to have in the diet. http://www.news.com.au//n/7b31fbd83ceab7f200c6d30ee22741bc

13.01.2022 I am often asked what is Fascia and why do I work differently to other massage therapists. Below is a short YouTube video presented by Thomas Myers one of the world leaders in the field of biomechanics and the author of Anatomy Trains. I may have shown you his text in my studio. 13.01.2022 Intermittent Fasting (IF) makes a lot of sense depending on your health goal. This is a really good article on IF in the context of sleep. I have recently started practicing IF with the goal of boosting Human Growth Hormone to assist with reducing my belly fat and keeping my skin firmer as I age.

12.01.2022 Just added a new recipe to my website. Cuban Black Beans is a family favourite. It does require some planning; it is easier that it seems. I recommend service the Cuban Black Beans with your favourite rice, a dollop of natural yogurt and a fresh salad on the side. Adding the rice lifts the dish to a second class protein; but the addition of the natural yogurt lifts the dish to a first class protein. JUST LIKE EATING A PIECE OF STEAK: ONLY EASIER TO DIGEST. ... The whole recipe makes 35% of vegetables towards BMT Goal 2.5 and each serve makes 9% of vegetables towards BMT Goal 2.5 Enjoy! http://brindabellamovementtherapies.com.au/1465-2/

10.01.2022 I suppose, one could say that the humble dust mite is doing us a favour, consuming our dead skin cells that we shed while sleeping. The issue is unfortunately, that they produce an allergen that some of us are sensitive to. I particularly feel this when travelling. Below is a very easy, natural technique for keeping those pesky little parasites under control.
