16.01.2022 A terrific old poster promoting Wagga. The ladies featured are Shirley Beaver and Betty Coveny. The photo was on the cover of a booklet published by Hunter Bros... in 1941. Former Maritime Museum Educator Cathy McCabe advises; The makeup & hairstyles are reminiscent of the 1940s". "Shirley on the left is wearing a typical body hugging Maillot with a modesty panel which continued well into the 1950s." Betty on the right is "possibly wearing a floral cotton swimsuit with shirring to create a body hugging effect, with a halter neck.
