19.01.2022 Brisbane Ballet School (BBS) is an Excellence Program for physically talented and committed Classical Ballet students. The Program includes classes in Open Ballet Technique, Contemporary Dance and Solo and/or Group Repertoire. Pas de deux is offered depending on the availability of male students. At present, we have students in Years 8, 9 and 10 attending 1 or 2 days per week depending on their schooling commitment. They do require their academic schools permission to enable them to have time off. Faculty in 2017 include Louise Deleur, Bill Pengelly and Barbara Eversen. 16.01.2022 Big CONGRATULATIONS to Kurumi Kamayachi for being awarded 1st place in Date competition in Japan today. She went home for the holidays. She says "I was really h...appy because I never dreamed that I could get first place at Date con, which I had been participating in every year since I was a child I am full of gratitude to all the parents and teachers who supported us. 12.01.2022 Gabriel (Gabe) present ADA student and Graduate ADA 2016 Sarah Ross enjoying good news. Gabe was awarded at the Alana Haines Awards in New Zealand, a 2 weeks s...cholarship to the Alegria Dance School in Sydney and flew there recently to join in those classes. Sarah who is now in her first year at WAAPA will leave on Saturday to perform and do Master Classes in Beijing. She was chosen to join the second year students for this exciting tour. 12.01.2022 Another of our past ADA Graduates has visited us on his holidays before returning to America to commence with a new Company in San Antonio, Texas. Sam OBrien has taken some amazing classes, encouraged the classical students throughout. He has given special coaching to our students who will be competing in the Sydney Eisteddfod in the coming weeks and they have enjoyed his input immensely. Many thanks Sam. Mannheim Academie de Danse in the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts, Germany, Royal Swedish Ballet School, Stockholm, Sweden and half tuition scholarship to Houston Ballet School, USA Summer Intensive. He was also offered Level 6 Australian Ballet School in January 2018.. Kurumi Kamayachi Rambert Ballet School, London and Pin-Huei Wu (Sara) Royal Swedish Ballet School Stockholm, Sweden.
