25.01.2022 School Services Update 22-5-2020 IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Return to normal school in Term 2 commencing Monday 25th May 2020 https://www.brisbanebuslines.com.au//school-services-updat

24.01.2022 As we get ready to celebrate World Teachers' Day on Friday 30 October 2020, it is time to thank all Queensland teachers!

24.01.2022 COVID-19 School Services Update for Week Beginning Monday 31st March to Friday 3rd April 2020 BBL have been advised by the QLD Department of Transport to continue operation of school transport services as normal for week beginning Monday 31st to Friday 3rd April 2020 While the numbers of students accessing services may reduce significantly, it remains vital for the QLD Department of Education to continue to provide access to schooling for all.... As we continue in these unprecedented times, we would like to assure our parents and carers of our continued diligence in your childs health and safety and our teams health and safety with regard to COVID-19. Vehicles will continue to be sanitised at a much higher frequency than ever before. This includes using an antibacterial spray on all high use areas between school runs. Ongoing, it is expected that students adhere to advice received from the Australian Government regarding social distancing were possible on public transport, which includes school bus services. The advice for students includes: If possible, sitting 1.5 metres apart to comply with social distancing; covering their cough or sneeze; not touching other passengers on the bus; and for parents, we ask that you do not send your child on the bus if they are unwell. We understand that social distancing is going to be difficult in some instances, however, as much as possible, drivers will be encouraging these guidelines on school runs and we ask that you speak to your child to ensure they understand what is expected of them. The Code of Conduct for School Students Travelling on Buses states that students must follow the drivers directions at all times. We would like to sincerely thank parents and carers for your ongoing support for what is a challenging time in all of our lives. The BBL Team

23.01.2022 As part of our commitment to supporting the initiatives of #SafeWorkMonth we held a series of Toolbox Talks across our business this week where our team openly shared experiences of heart health, the importance of regular health checks and the health responsibilities our team have as commercial heavy vehicle drivers.

21.01.2022 Did you know that our fleet travels an average of 2.1 million kms each year? Road safety is extremely important to the team at Brisbane Bus Lines and we are proud to support the initiatives of the StreetSmarts Queensland Road Safety Week campaign.

21.01.2022 To all school staff, parents and students, The current information from the QLD Department for Education, states that the home-based learning model introduced in the last week of Term 1 will remain in place for Term 2 from 20th April until at least the 22nd May 2020. However, children of essential workers or those who are vulnerable or in a designated Indigenous community, can attend their school if they are unable to remain at home.... Based on this current information, Brisbane Bus Lines will therefore continue to operate our school bus services to our normal timetables, apart from 2 minor exceptions, which are detailed below: TEMPORARILY DISCONTINUED SERVICES FROM MONDAY 20th April UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE School Bus 19 Afternoon only Express service from Albany Creek High School to Eatons Hill. This service is temporarily withdrawn. Students to board School Bus 21 from Albany Creek High School. School Bus 19 will be introduced again, once school attendance returns to normal and student numbers increase. School Bus 41 Morning and Afternoon service. Students for Petrie State School, Mt Maria Petrie, Our Lady of the Way, & Pine Rivers State High School. Students to board School Bus 43 instead. Brisbane Bus Lines will conduct further reviews of our timetabled services based on further advice from the Department for Education and via ongoing monitoring of student numbers. We will communicate any changes to all schools, parents and student via email, Facebook and our website. Operational Status summary as of Monday 20th April 2020

20.01.2022 Brisbane Bus Lines has just implemented several changes to school service routes and bus times last week and these kind words and thank you from a parent of children who travel on our School Bus Services is greatly appreciated by us all. The process went smoothly due to our ability to work collectively as a Team. We thank everyone involved.

20.01.2022 While many of us have been forced to slow down over the past months, the WORMS at Brisbane Bus Lines have been working overtime!! As part of our commitment to reducing our environmental impact we catch and reuse an average of 880,000 litres of water per year. This filtered water is then used to clean and maintain our fleet of over 65 buses and coaches at the companys Enoggera depot. Thanks to the critical role that our hard working worms play in this process (and the great work of our fleet presentation team) our vehicles are looking fabulous!

19.01.2022 AM Service Changes Update Thank you to everyone who has adapted to using our new changed services. We have noticed since implementation that there are still a number of students waiting for buses to Ferny Grove at Samford State School and through Samford Village after 8.30am.... Please note that the last scheduled service to Ferny Grove is School Bus 15 which departs from Samford State School at 8.18am. School Bus 15 will pickup as required through the village at the Mary Ring Drive Bus Stop and at the bus stop opposite Camp Mountain Road on route to Ferny Grove High School. Therefore any students who need to get to Ferny Grove from Samford Village need to ensure they are at their relevant Bus Stop prior to the departure of School Bus 15 to ensure they do not miss it. Any students needing to get to Ferny Grove from Samford after this time will need to make their own arrangements. Please check www.brisbanebuslines.com.au for details on our service changes. If you are unsure, please phone us on 3354 3633 for further information. If you have not received any information regarding these changes please call us to ensure we have your details up to date. Did you know you can track your childs bus via the TransportMe App? The TransportMe App is available from the App Store or the Google play Store. Once you have downloaded the App is just a matter of selecting the School Bus you require from the list.

19.01.2022 Huge thank you to the Brisbane Bus Lines team for overhauling the mechanicals of our bendy bus in recent months! It is now back on the road after spending a little while on the sidelines.

16.01.2022 Did you know that you can access all the information that you need about our Morning School Bus Network Improvements Effective Wednesday 26th August 2020 via our website https://www.brisbanebuslines.com.au//morning-school-bus-ne Please follow the below steps to help you find your new timetable information: Step 1; Check the list of current School Buses affected by this change. If your child currently catches one or more of these buses then proceed to Step 2. If your child...s school bus number is not listed in the table then your school run is not impacted by these upcoming changes. Step 2; If your current School Bus number features in the list scroll down the page to the Attachments and select the relevant PDF for their destination, organise by School or to Ferny Grove Station. Step 3; Open the PDF from the Attachment list where you will see all the new possible options for travel to your destination. Step 4; Each Service should be read from left to right. Identify the service that covers your suburb. Click on the timetable and/or map, which will show you the streets and key timing points through your suburb, including more detailed information on any bus connection points. In some cases, more than one service may travel through a particular suburb. You may need to view more than one timetable in order to identify the best pick up or connection point for you. Key points to note: Some existing School Bus numbers no longer exist in the new network. An example is School Bus 70, whose route has been replaced by a combination of other services with different School Bus numbers. With a few minor exceptions, all roads that we currently cover are still covered in the new changes. Some new roads have been added, such as Moonlight Avenue in Highvale. Ferny Grove High School services will run later in order to meet the schools current bell times. Most other High School services will arrive slightly earlier. See more

07.01.2022 Introducing Kathy - one of our driving team members that help to make your journey great! At the age of 12 Kathy learned to drive a long nose extended-tray farm truck used to cart hay on her family's farm near Chinchilla, Qld. Kathy took over ownership of the farm in 1998 and started growing watermelons commercially while continuing to breed Poll Hereford cattle making it necessary to learn the operation of ploughs, planters, boom sprays and various equipment associated with ...the growing of crops and cattle handling. With her 4 children settled and live-in caretakers keeping watch over the farm, Kathy moved back to Brisbane in 2008. After 3 weeks she was itching to get busy again. Her husband suggested that she should try driving buses - and the rest is history! Kathy continues to divide her time between her property, driving school and charter buses and lately visiting grandchildren.
