24.01.2022 Love these stats

17.01.2022 Being a celebrant is one of the best roles in our community and this year has looked a little different. It was with a heavy heart that all my couples had to postpone their weddings (and one I couldnt do due to border closures). However when I contacted all my wonderful couples who I had previously married in regards to National Celebrants Day on Friday 20th November, they all offered congratulations and sent in more photos and wrote lovely words about my service. I truly appreciate everyone's support and hope that I am able to get out the PA, dust off the red book and see all those big smiles on everyones face at weddings again, really soon!

17.01.2022 Last week, Tara went out of her way and provided a life celebration service for my Aunt. Tara help me through the pre-ceremony process and gave heaps of assistance with ensuring her life celebration was memorable for those in attendance. Tara is a true professional with everything she does and why I asked her to do something a little different from the norm. Thank you so much Tara. It meant the world to me.

15.01.2022 I do like 4.3.21!

11.01.2022 All of Taras efforts made the process of creating our ceremony simple and stress free. Her kindness, professionalism and attention to detail made us feel like she was the only person we wanted to officiate our wedding. Thank you again Tara.

11.01.2022 Let's hope 2021, has everyone enjoying weddings again.

10.01.2022 Thank you so much for the beautiful anniversary card Tara. It made our first anniversary that much more special knowing that even our celebrant remembered.

10.01.2022 I always love it when a photographer captures the candid moments between myself and couples.

08.01.2022 What a beautiful story.

08.01.2022 Thankyou to everyone who has helped celebrate National Celebrants Day. Being a celebrant is one of the best roles in our community and I couldn't do it without all of you. So thank you for liking and commenting on my posts over the last two weeks. Sincere thanks to all the wonderful people, who chose me to be involved in their life event AND then for their kind words and reviews on my service. I couldnt do it without all of your support, so THANKYOU very much.

07.01.2022 In the 1970’s Australia was going through social change and the Attorney General Lionel Murphy, defied all and established the celebrant program in Australia. The first appointed celebrant was Mrs Lois D’Arcy on the 19th of July 1973. It is rumoured in the dead of the night, he typed the appointment himself, found the envelope and stamp and walked to the post box and posted it himself! The program was Murphy’s vision and he made radical (for the time) steps by appointing wome...n (ceremonies up to them had been provided by men), he appointed aborigines, he appointed young people. He went onto say people could choose their celebrant (unheard of before!) and his goal was that celebrating the milestones of life was just as important for secular people as it was for religious people. New Zealand followed Australia’s lead in 1977 and the UK in 1980. In 2018, 79.9% of marriages in Australia are performed by celebrants. I am very glad that Lionel Murphy had such vison in 1973 and I now get to perform such wonderful wedding ceremonies but also other life celebrations. See more

07.01.2022 We have found Tara to be very knowledgeable and helpful with planning out our wedding. Even with postponing our wedding to next year due to COVID-19 she has been very accommodating. Bring on May 2021 where Tara will assist us becoming official a family.

07.01.2022 What a blast and so much fun. Thanks to Tara who understood our vision and theme. Most of all for making the process easy with tips and resources to write out vowel and the suggestion of the wine box ceremony. Wine is near and dear to our hearts and it fitted perfectly. Tara presented brilliantly bringing in the fun and laughter we wanted from our ceremony whilst keeping it professional and meaningful. I’d happily recommend Tara to friends and family. Sincere thanks to you Tara.

02.01.2022 As you all know Covid-19 has been disruptive to life celebrations. In October the Prime Minister wrote this letter to Australian Celebrants MESSAGE FROM THE PRIME MINISTER Celebrations of a life just beginning, a life lived in love and partnership, or of a life well-lived are the milestones scattered through our memories.... Our celebrations are a mirror, reflecting who we are, who we love and who loves us. Whether we come together in hope, happiness or sorrow, the one who guides our gathering stands with us at a critical time in our life. The members of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants are rightly acknowledged for their work in supporting Australian families to conduct the ceremonies honouring their life events. I particularly want to thank Australia’s celebrants for their professionalism, integrity and sensitivity during the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the toughest decisions the National Cabinet had to make has been about funerals and weddings and to limit attendance. This limit is administered by the States and Territories under their authority. I understand the deep feelings families have about these restrictions and many of your members have had to navigate those feelings particularly as they relate to funerals. I farewelled my own father earlier this year, so I understand the grief many are facing and the yearn for a service to honour a loved family member. At weddings and funerals, our human yearn to connect, to hug, to kiss, and be close to those we love, means that such events present a real risk for the virus to be transmitted and to be transmitted quickly. Small numbers provides the best constraints to maintain physical distancing, even though it is heartbreaking to do so. So I thank you for your efforts helping us respond to this pandemic. Your actions are saving lives and are an important source of understanding and strength for Australian families. We know that no matter what is happening in our world, life continues and the milestones roll around. You have performed a vital service in challenging times. Thank you for what you have done as Australia has faced a once in a century pandemic. The Hon Scott Morrison MP Prime Minister of Australia 10 October 2020 See more

02.01.2022 We were so lucky to have Tara as our celebrant for our daughters naming day. She made everything really easy and was so open to hearing what was important to us in our ceremony. Thank you Tara for making our day so special.
