25.01.2022 We now have a groomer!!! Sue is available wed-sat (by appointment only) and she can do both dogs and cats. Please call Sue on 0418 870 685 if you would like to make an appointment. Yay!

24.01.2022 Jan Powers Farmers Markets are on again this sunday 2nd Dec so come on down to try some of the most delicious foods youll ever taste. Our new groomer, Sue, will also be here for you to meet and greet. Lucky for us, there wil be another market this year on sunday 23rd Dec (2 days before Christmas) so you can get fresh fruit, veg, bread etc ready for your Christmas Feast.

23.01.2022 Our last day of trading will be Sun 17th February so from now until then 40%-50% off almost everything (25% off food, cages, vetlines, treats). Anyone interested in shop fittings (including shelving, fridges, freezers, microwave, washing machine, shipping container, 3x3m shed, hydrobath, fish tanks galore, 6ft fish tank, plant tank, bird cages, small animal cages, cash register, fax machine/printer, collapsible crates etc etc) please make an offer as we will need these things picked up the week after closure. 23.01.2022 Dogs for adoption (18/10/12-1/11/12): Meet Jai. He is a 3 yr old Jack Russell x. He is a very sweet and loves company. He is a jumper though (great for agility etc but not for low fences) and he loves to run around.

19.01.2022 Dog owners PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have collars with name tags on your dogs (unless there are safety reasons for not doing so). I stopped on the Centenary Highway (yes thats right) this morning to pick up 2 Am Staffs that were playing Russian roulette with cars going 100kph. I (despite being 7mths pregnant and on a highway) was the only one who had the decency to stop & help them but they had no tags for me to track down their owners. I had no choice but to involve the council. With a tag I couldve contacted the owners directly and sorted it out privately.

19.01.2022 Dogs for adoption (1/11/12-15/11/12): This is Womble. He is a 6yr old Pug x Jack Russell. He is very playful and affectionate and has lots of life left in him but he could definitely benefit from a weightloss program.

17.01.2022 Jenni & her partner Mike welcomed Izac to the world on wed 5th December. He was a lovely 7lb2oz & 51cm long. All are well & settling into familyhood

16.01.2022 Dogs for adoption (15/11/12-29/11/12): This is Ninja. He is a 6 year old Mini Pinscher x Fox Terrier. He has plenty of energy and must be part rabbit (the way he jumps) but he is soooo cute.

09.01.2022 Reluctantly Brisbane Pet Headquarters is up for sale as the current owner, Jenni, is due to have her first baby in December. While Jenni would like to stay on, after 12 years in the pet industry she would prefer to focus on being a Mum. Brisbane Pet Headquarters has been in Blackwood Street Mitchelton for over 20 years and over the last 4 years has been heavily involved in rehoming for the Animal Welfare League Qld (weve rehomed hundreds of animals & raised over $70,000) an...d has been running a volunteer cuddler program for adults and kids to help care for and socialise the animals. Sadly though, if a buyer isnt found, Brisbane Pet Headquarters will be forced to shut down in early 2013 so we are calling on all our fans to spread the word so that hopefully a buyer can be found and the pet shop can continue to benefit the community. 08.01.2022 Hi Fans, Sunday 2nd December (market day) will be the last day for Jenni (owner) at Pet HQ as she is having her first baby the following week. She will try to be here for the next market day (23rd December) so you can meet her little baby boy but it will depend on her recovery. Jenni wishes you all a safe and Merry Christmas and wonderful New Year. She ill be back on deck hopefully early January. In the mean time, feel free to drop in to keep an eye on the rest of the staff (make sure they havent burned the place down or thrown any wild parties) and keep up the good word that adopting a rescue animal is the way to go. xoxo
