24.01.2022 Featuring Kenny our BSBL Division 2 MVP from Tree New Bee, a team of brotherhood from . Kenny started playing basketball at 20 y/o and used to think that scoring is all that makes him a great player. He then join TNB and came to realise that basketball is about teamwork and trust. Which is why, he was willing to change his role to fill in the missing part that now makes TNB a champion. I enjoy playing in BSBL. The crews, equipments, and courts are fantastic, providing us a... great platform to pursue our passion in basketball. 21.01.2022 Dear Ballers, If you are not aware, QLD has placed another restriction on public gathering as mentioned attached!! https://www.qld.gov.au//current-sta/urgent-covid-19-update... For BSBL moving forward, what does it mean?? We have been informed that as long as we have proper COVID plan, this should not stop us from operating, unless the state condition worsen. So, basketball continues as scheduled. But stricter rules will be implied: 1) only show up to the courts 10 minutes prior you game, player wont have excess to court unless its the hour they play. 2) player coming in need to sign in both with BSBL admin team as well as Cornubia entrance QR code. This composed of you First Name and Last name as well as your number for contact tracing. 3) when player finish for the day, they need to again sign out using the QR code. 4) while we are down at the courts, no high fives etc and maintain the 1.5m distancing while you are not on the court competing. 5) if you show any signs of cold or flu symptoms, we asked you to stay home and not to come. We need everyone to adhere to these rules for BSBL to continue operating. Stay safe and hope QLD will have this under control soon.

The three infected came back from Melbourne on 21-July-2020 and have been to the placed listed in the screenshot below between 21-Jul-2020 to 28-Jul-2020. If you or your close contact(s) may have visited those places in the same timeline, we urge you to be cautious and seek medical assistance immediately for any flu or Covid-19 like symptom regardless how... mild it might be. 14.01.2022 The BSBL Season 19 Division 3 MVP award was presented to Richie Ting from PCB. He started playing basketball when he was 15 years old. At that time, he played basketball casually with friends until he decided to join a team and try out proper games in Grade 12. Richie found that officiated games are fun thus he joined PCB this year to compete in BSBL Division 3. On the 30th of August, we won't be able to use Cornubia Sports Complex, so we will be moving back to Calamvale. Also, the week we have cancelled have been rescheduled to the 4th of October. 11.01.2022 Dear All, As the word have spread, yes, we are returning this Sunday. Before everyone text and ask me about schedules, whether we are sticking with what we have etc, i will post a quick update here. At the moment, we are shifting more towards generating a new schedule for the remainder of the year. I know some teams might complain about been robbed of their previous two victories, but because of the changes and not every team have returned, to continue with the old schedule c...ould be tricky. Anyway, BSBL team is working really hard to come up with a best solution for everyone. We are trying to release the new or changed schedule by Wednesday. 11.01.2022 In March, we had to suspend the league to keep our ballers safe from the covid outbreak. In July, we had to move the whole league from Calamvale Community College to Cornubia Park Sports Centre to accommodate delayed games. We’ve gone through so much together this year and we are glad to announce that this coming Sunday will be our Season 19 grand finals @ Cornubia Park Sports Centre! Good news that spectators are allowed and very much WELCOMED ... Please come and support BSBL and the league!! 10.01.2022 Dear All, As Queensland is lifting the restriction even more, we might be back to action sooner than expected!! In order for us to be back operational, there are requirements BSBL has to fulfil and one of the requirement is only a certain number of players be allowed in the stadium at one time.... So, in our return, we will have admin at the front entrance only permit entry to players that have registered for the team playing that hour. This means, each team manager, go and check and make sure you have all players in your team registered or else if we do make a return in the up coming days, players not in our team list will not permit entry. 03.01.2022 Dear BSBL Ballers, Hope everyone enjoyed our first week back from COVID!! A different venue but never the less, it was great seeing everyone again and BSBL back up and running.... BSBL, has started a new Youtube channel (Brisbane South Basketball League). https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCS0_BkH9eM1-8d54czRckFg What we try and achieve is to record all the games happening every Sunday so every team could revisit their play over the weekend and even show friends and family. At the moment, we are still waiting for some more equipment to allow us to capture every game, but please bear with us and hopefully the new feature to BSBL will be up and running soon. 03.01.2022 Dear BSBL ballers, Just a quick reminder that BSBL is back on this Sunday. We will be at Cornubia Sports Complex, please check the website or your GameDay app to make sure you know what time your team is playing.... BSBL.sportingpulse.net On another note, Due to the reoccurrence of COVID in the past week especially around the south side of Brisbane, the Health and Sports department from the government have called and informed us the precautions we need to take. They required us to provide detailed information of all players coming through the entrance. This includes name, email and contact phone number, residential address could be needed to. Anyone giving false information, they could issue each individual with a hefty fine. BSBL admins will be at the entrance this week, we will need everyone to come to one of us and check your detail is correct and sign off before heading in. The government personnel could do a random drop by check, so please follow basic COVID terms, social distancing, no high fives etc. Again, we ask everyone not to bring anyone that is not registered, so NO SPECTATORS!!! 02.01.2022 Dear BSBL players, I have just sent all your team managers a message in regards to this season's team fee. For teams that have yet paid, your team manager will advice you the sum.... For teams and players that have paid, BSBL will be refunding all the extras as it is a shorter season than we first scheduled it out. Please seek your team manager for you refund shares. As it is a shorter season, we will charge players playing multiple divisions the normal registration rate of $50 rather than $80 for his second team.

02.01.2022 Dear BSBL ballers, I would like to quickly update all teams about the up coming games for BSBL. This season has been really difficult for both BSBL and for you guys, we would like to thank you all for the continue support and sticking with us.... I have again altered the schedule for this season. To make sure everyone is aware of the changes, i have posted here all the games and it's venue for the remainder of the season. If no interruption from here onward, we should be able to wrap the season off (all the weeks missed have been added on) on the 8th of November. Playoffs will commence on the 15th, 22 and 29th of November. Normally we don't run till this late as we understand people/students tend to fly oversea for a holiday, but with the multiple scare and interruption, we have no choice but to run it till end of November.
