25.01.2022 Weekly update, The State team was announced last night ! The successful athletes selected to compete at the nationals in October are # 1 Seamus Sutton, # 2 James Tudball , # 3 Matt Baldwin, # 4 Gus Mcphail, # 5 Joseph McMullen, # 6 Callum Polanowski, # 7 Alex Jones , # 8 Alex Doedens, # 9 Nelson Goram-Aitken # 10 Callan Wright , #12 Jarrod McMullen. Congratulations boys.... I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank all the boys that have attended training during the selection process who where unsuccessful in gaining a position in this years team. I would encourage all of you to continue to attend training as you are all important members of our squad . Your presence at training has and will continue to help the improvement of our group moving forward. We have a bye this Friday night , and remember there is only one session this Sunday at 3,30 / 5.30pm Cheers Dean
24.01.2022 It has been a hectic last 10 months getting ready for the upcoming National Club U16 Championships. Starting back in January and our Development Camp in Perth and the magnificent hospitality of the City Beach Club ! The final results will be measured on our in pool performances . I'm Sure that all the young men participating will do everything they can to play up to expectations , getting the results that come from hard work and commitment . This year the team will be staying... all together !! Spending all week together trying to make the experience as enjoyable and fun as possible !! But this isn't a cheap exercise ! A huge thank you to all the parents who have worked just as hard r fundraising as the boys training ! Big thanks , and happy birthday To Louise Mcmullen , organising Chocolates ! 24.01.2022 Just a quick update on upcoming tournament ! Monday 28th September Boys arrive at Hobart aquatic at 12.30pm complete with all bags and uniforms . Please make sure you have eaten lunch before arrival , 1.30 pm practice game vs Northern city beaches , 3.30 pm we will bus it to Hadleys Hotel and check in . 5.30 team will attend meet and greet at Town Hall Back at hotel by 9pm . There will be a family get together at Annalisa and Richards on Friday night at this stage and as soon... as we have worked out times for evening meals I will post times and locations so any parents and family that wish to join us can do so . All evening meals will have open invites for all parents , more the merrier . First game is Tuesday at 12.30 . For parents wishing to join us at the meet and greet please comment here today ! 22.01.2022 The swim-a-thon sponsorship forms will be out and about tonight, All boys who are currently playing nationals in October are required to participate, The event will be held Sunday the 6th of September from 7am and 10am Clarence pool , the athletes will be given 3hrs to complete 200 laps or 10 klm if that sounds more inviting. All money raised will be put towards reducing the costs to the boys families. Athletes will be able to have as many breaks during the 3 hr as they requi...re. It's not a race ! It's a team building exercise, raising funds along the way ! The recent u14 boys completed a 100 lap swim-a-thon and the comradary was exceptional! This program should be no different, So get behind the boys and make this a great morning. Cheers Dean

13.01.2022 Good morning , two things to look at Today ! Firstly the team for this week against Rosny Colledge at 9.30pm is Seamus Sutton , James Tudball ,Callan Wright, Matt Baldwin , Alex Doedens , Gus Mcphail , Jarrod McMullen , Alex Jones, Nelson Goram - Aitken , Joseph McMullen , Callum Polonoski , Baxter Crawford , Jesse Sellers , Will Merritt , and Lochlann Jenkins , the second point is that training on Mondays and Wednesday nights will now be 7pm until 9pm not 9.30 . There will be NO training over the long weekend in June !! Cheers Dean
13.01.2022 FUNDRAISING!! how we love it . There will be a Meeting on Wednesday the 1st July at 6.30pm Hobart Aquatic before Training . Topics will include Uniforms, Bathers, Accommodation , transport, entertainment, and of coarse COSTS !! First up we are having a joint Quiz night With the girls team on the 15th August at Soho . Please keep that Saturday night free and book a table . ... All parents , if possible should be in attendance, It's your back pockets that will be affected if we don't have a successful fundraising period before September 29 . 13.01.2022 Evening , the team had a very good hit out tonight against Hutchins in a close game went down 8/6 . Everyone played well , a special mention to our new goalie Seamus Sutton , fantastic start to your goal keeping Career !! Well done to all the boys ! Training this week will start this Sunday morning 10.30am until 12.30pm and again at 3.30pm until 5.30 pm the morning session will be standard and the afternoon session will be games only , any boys who can't make it please comment on this post please. cheers Dean
12.01.2022 Compulsory meeting Wednesday night re - Nationals in 7 weeks 6.45 pm Hobart Aquatic Center ! With 4 parents from 4 separate families 100 % committed to organising the tournament on behalf of Waterpolo Australia we will be under the pump to for fill our team obligations immediately after our games finish . The remaining 7 families will need to help out scoring etc, This years tournament has a record # of teams entered and Waterpolo Tas and its sub committee will be looking for volunteers to help make this competition a success . So please make sure you can attend and contribute in the Discussion cheers Dean

Only in the afternoon 3.20/5.30pm there will be uniform order forms available and I placed the bathers order earlier today , please keep the quiz night at the forefront of things to remember. 10.01.2022 Congratulations to the Development team for their win over Friends College last night ! All the boys played very well and made the most of their time in the pool , it's a fantastic opportunity for the younger boys to play against bigger stronger opposition, in preparation for nationals in October, I would like to thank Water Polo Tasmania for allowing the team to play in the College Roster , and hope all boys appreciate the chances they have been given !! 07.01.2022 Team update ! Today the boys played their toughest opponent in a full on practice game against a combined side of college boys and past state players . The combined side consisted of Sam Blackman, Tom Franks , Julian and Andrew Hudson, Carl Doedens and Hutchins college Coach Scott Wilson along with other Hutchins players . The game was played under new national club rules , including 5 field players and 7 minute quarters The state u16 boys played extremely well and the sco...res where even at 3/4 time 11 all . The combined college team ended up wining 16/12 . The new rules and player numbers definitely make it a faster and higher scoring game . I would like to thank Tom Reale and Justin McMullen for umpiring and Annalisa , Felice and Louise for operating the score boards . We look forward to playing more of these quality practice games leading up to Nationals at the end of September cheers Dean See more

01.01.2022 Regarding uniforms ..... If you need a new uniform item, please email [email protected] with your order by Friday 31st July. Embroidery onto your hoodie and polo (Hobart 2015) needs to be handed in to either Linda or Denise no later than Friday 21st of August. Hoodies and polos need to be bagged and clearly named. Currently have new uniform orders for James T, Seamus and Matt B. Cheers
