15.01.2022 Make sure you have the most up to date Border Pass for your trip from Byron Bay to QLD. The application process is changing from 11 November 2020. If you have a current G Pass the website says that pass will be honored. More information can be found at the link below. https://mypolice.qld.gov.au//border-pass-changes-what-you/

08.01.2022 Daylight Saving started today. Buses now depart Byron at either 1200 or 1830. Don't forget to get a Border Pass!

06.01.2022 As of October 01 2020 at 0100AM, the Queensland Border Zone will be extending to residents of 5 Local Government Areas in the Northern River region of NSW, Byron Shire, Ballina Shire, City of Lismore, Richmond Valley (Casino, Evans Heads), Glen Innes Severn Shire. We will recommence our services from Friday 02 October with 2 services on Friday, 1 service on Saturday, 1 service on Sunday, and 2 services on Monday. If demand requires we may add further services during the week.... We can also make special arrangements for group bookings. Every passenger will be required to present a Queensland Border Pass and a form of ID with your residential address to the driver on departure from Byron Bay. You can apply for a pass here https://www.qld.gov.au/border-pass. Passes are valid for 7 days. Your pass can be in electronic or paper form. QLD Police will board the vehicle at the border checkpoint and ask questions regarding your whereabouts for the 14 days prior to travel. If you are refused entry to QLD we will not take you back to Byron Bay. Our vehicles are rigorously cleaned after each trip and hand sanitiser and cleaning wipes are available in each vehicle. We have decreased our seating capacity in an effort to maintain a good distance between passengers. Mask wearing is not compulsory in either QLD or NSW but they are a useful measure when social distancing is hard to maintain such as in public transport. We don’t provide masks so remember to bring your own if you feel you wish to wear one while traveling with us. More information on masks here https://www.qld.gov.au//coronavirus-covid-19/pr/face-masks https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/face-masks We’re excited to be back on the road once again and look forward to seeing you soon. https://brisbane2byron.com/

05.01.2022 If you're planning a return trip between Brisbane and Byron Bay, make sure you check your eligibility for a QLD Border Pass before you make your plans. Updated information regarding who is eligible for a QLD Border Pass can be found here. https://www.qld.gov.au/border-pass

01.01.2022 Hi Friends. If you're traveling after 01 October between Byron Bay and Brisbane, make sure you have an updated QLD Border Declaration Pass. https://www.qld.gov.au/border-pass There are several classes of passes so choose the Pass appropriate for your situation. If you're a resident of QLD or within the NSW Border Zone postcodes most likely you will need to apply for the Border Zone Travel Declaration Pass which when complete and emailed to you has an X on the top of the page like the picture below. Our drivers will ask to see your Pass before you board the bus at Byron Bay.
