10.01.2022 LASEST TRAINNG ARRANGEMENTS TUES 12TH JAN-22ND JAN Dear All, You will be aware that recent lockdown restrictions in Brisbane have been eased, but that certain important limits remain in place: ... https://www.qld.gov.au//easing-greater-brisbane-restrictio In light of this relaxation, classes will resume according to the normal schedule, but with the following important safeguards: 1. Classes will focus on weapons-training and on exercises that involve no physical contact. 2. Masks must be worn at all times (please bring your own). 3. Numbers will be limited to 10 persons per class at the dojo 4. The changing rooms will be out of action until further notice, so please come to the dojo already changed. Please be sure to maintain high levels of personal hygiene - hand sanitiser is provided at the entrance to the dojo, so please use it on entering and exiting. 5. Please be sure to wipe down any weapons at the dojo that you use before you replace them in the racks. 6. Please do not come to training if you feel at all unwell, or if you are in a household where someone is experiencing even mild symptoms. We will review arrangements again on the 22nd JAN, assuming that there are no further changes in the meantime. Stay safe and well and we hope to see you back on the mat soon.

10.01.2022 UPDATE ! GOOD NEWS ! We are beginning to work contact back into classes at Brisbane Aikikai. Please remember to follow the circulated hygiene guidelines and to stay home if you feel at all unwell or if there is sickness in your immediate vicinity. In FURTHER GOOD NEWS (YES, THERE IS MORE), Chris Sensei's Wednesday evening classes will now run for an extra 30 minutes until 8pm, so that we have time to consolidate and build on the weapons work we have recently been practising. Sunday morning weapons class (7.00am fresh as a daisy start) is also back on ! It's great to be back. Please Take care as you ease back into fitness.

08.01.2022 A great sunday celebration at the end of a long and tricky year !

04.01.2022 A great resource from our friends in Christchurch.

04.01.2022 This is the founder of Aikido - Ueshiba Morihei -Sensei. The seated bow (zarei) is such a beautiful tradition. It symbolizes gratitude and respect. The founder...’s bow in this photograph is an example of how the bow is done not only with the body but with the spirit, as well. Budo is the training and forging of both body and spirit. Thanks to Bushin Dojo and Stefano for sharing.

02.01.2022 Warmest congratulations to all who graded successfully last weekend and to everyone who showed up to train and support. You made us proud. Keep up the positive energy and see you all soon :) 6th Kyu: Frank Bragg Jenny Brown... Kevan Matheson 4th Kyu: Hugh Bragg 3rd Kyu: Lin Chhim 2nd Kyu: Darren Piefke Matt Webster
