23.01.2022 We would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming support shown over the last two months. The patience you have offered us whilst we manage through the impact of COVID-19, has been inspiring. Yesterday tickets went back on sale after we completed a refund programme that lasted 7 weeks. We received far more support than we had anticipated, which has given us a much-needed boost, ensuring the 2021 Brisbane Airshow is the biggest aviation event Queensland has seen in a long ...time. Tell your friends, "Brisbane Airshow 2021" will be even bigger and better than originally planned with several new acts and stunts to be announced soon. 21.01.2022 Some of you may be a little disappointed at the postponement of the Brisbane Airshow and the 3-month delay. Most will appreciate that the lockdown has been out of our control and that on this basis alone we have not been able to proceed with our event. In postponing to our new dates, the Brisbane Airshow Team have had to consider a myriad of issues including: On-going COVID restrictions,... Conflicting Events, Aircraft, Equipment, and Vendor Availability, and Weather. Conflicting events, Aircraft, Equipment and Vendor availability are very much intertwined. As you might expect, many contractors are committed to other ‘up-coming’ events and accordingly we have had to work towards mutually acceptable dates. Bluesfest, Greazefest, Riverfire, Bathurst 1000, Tocumwal Airshow, and Temora are just a few which come to mind. Many ‘moving parts’ are involved in putting an airshow together and the date selection process has not been easy. It has been foremost in our minds that we deliver a quality Airshow, a goal which can only be achieved thru quality contractors and a strong display of aircraft. The battle with COVID has been further reaching than expected. Few could have anticipated the latest lockdowns. Whilst there are many opinions on how COVID should be handled, we believe that our community needs to continue to work together, observe the advice given and to get vaccinated. Weather is also a large player in our decision making. August and September can be challenging, particularly the wind. October is a dry month offering temperatures which are generally mild enough during the day and pleasant at night. As you can see there is a lot to consider in choosing a postponement date and accordingly the new dates of the 16th and 17th of October 2021 are the result of a myriad of considerations all aimed at a quality airshow. Hopefully this gives you some further insight into our thinking and we thank you for your patience in rolling with us to what will be a great Airshow event! Best regards, James Crockett & Gill Vardi Event Organisers

18.01.2022 Brisbane Airshow is today celebrating the wonderful women aviation. From the Air Transport Auxiliary, where women were employed during WWII piloting legendary fighters like the Spitfire and Hurricane, to bombers like the Lancaster and air ambulances in and out of conflict. To Rosie the Riveter and her army of aircraft builders. Today we recognise your significant contribution to history. Women today are in the cockpits of airliners, military jets, air ambulance, managing airlines, engineering and maintenance just to name a few. 13.01.2022 BRISBANE AIRSHOW RETURNS OVER THE JULY 2022 SCHOOL HOLIDAYS! To all our loyal Brisbane Airshow patrons; It has become increasingly clear that we cannot present the Brisbane Airshow in a safe manner this coming October. The safety and protection of our Patrons, Aviation & Somerset Expo participants, Stallholders, Volunteers, Staff, and Suppliers are essential. The closure of state borders, snap lockdowns, and ongoing uncertainty, make our promise of a great Airshow impossible ...to achieve. With this in-mind, we have decided to re-schedule the Airshow to next year across our usual July 2022 School Holiday dates. We trust that by this time our lives will have returned to better levels of normalcy, with state borders open and a sense of certainty. PLEASE SUPPORT US! We have worked so hard to bring back the Brisbane Airshow! We are not giving up and are determined to not let this pandemic take us down! There is good confidence that, by the end of this year, Australia will have achieved at least a 70-80% vaccination rate as well as ‘Stage Three’ in the Government’s plan to open the country. Lockdowns will be consigned to history! The Brisbane Airshow will return over the popular school holiday period from Saturday the 2nd of July through to Sunday the 3rd of July 2022. Patrons and their family will be able to ‘Experience the Somerset’ and all it has to offer! Moving the show back almost a year will give you, our patrons, the certainty you need to plan and continue to support us. Moving forward we ask every ticketholder to support us by holding onto their tickets. In doing so your tickets will automatically be valid for the new July 2022 dates and you do not need to do anything. You will not be disappointed! As we emerge from this era of COVID lockdowns, the Brisbane Airshow will have greater display opportunities. We look forward to announcing more incredible air displays and activities for the whole family! Please be assured that you will have time to make an informed decision. In the coming weeks patrons will be offered the option to request a refund via our website. 02.01.2022 **CORONAVIRUS UPDATE ** You will no doubt be aware of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its effect on Australia and the World. Accordingly, we think it's important to update you on the Brisbane Airshow and our outlook moving forward.... Today the Australian Federal Government announced recommendations for all Australians to avoid public gatherings of greater than 500 people, thereby placing the Brisbane Airshow in doubt. We very much appreciate the seriousness of these events and its unprecedented nature. The Brisbane Airshow is currently 112 days away and many things will undoubtedly change as we seek to identify and manage the many issues involved. At this stage we will continue as planned to hold the event on the 4th & 5th of July 2020, and will simultaneously plan a contingency option to hold the event later in the year. In the event that we postpone or cancel the event, ALL ticket holders will be offered a refund. Please be assured that we are currently implementing the recommended safety measures and additional facilities to properly consider the health and safety of our patrons, aviators, and staff at the event. We thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing you at the Airshow! Best Wishes, James Crockett and Gill Vardi | Directors The Brisbane Airshow
