23.01.2022 The Brisbane Bandits are proud to announce the re-signing of American LHP Ryan Bollinger for the 2020-21 ABL Season. Bollinger has already notched 164 Strikeouts in the last 3 ABL Seasons across 130 innings pitched. Ryan secured his first two ABL championships with the Brisbane Bandits in 2017 and 2o18 and will look to replicate his dominance as one of the ABL's elite pitchers in the 2020-21 season. Bollinger joined the starting pitcher rotation in 2017 and found himself in a... new roll in 2019 throwing more in relief. It will be interesting to see how Bandits manager David Nilsson will use Bollinger through the new international-division-7-inning games. Bolllinger has also been busy in the ABL off-season playing for the Fubon Gaurdians in the CPBL the last two seasons. Including his time in the Minor League system, American Association of Independent Professional Baseball, Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball and Bundesliga, Ryan brings a wealth of experience from all over the globe to the Brisbane Bandits. Darvill featured in the infield for the 2019-20 ABL season for the Bandits playing at both 3B and 2B across 18 games. Wes was a midseason inclusion and showed promise both offensively and defensively throughout the season. Darvill batted .300 across the 18 games including 18 hits, 16 runs and 2 Home Runs.... Darvill will look to make a bigger impression throughout a full season for the Bandits in 2020 and play a pivotal part in the Bandits chase for a 5th championship in the modern ABL. 12.01.2022 The Brisbane Bandits are proud to announce the return of 2 x ABL champion Riley Unroe for the 2020-21 ABL Season. Riley Unroe will join the Bandits for his 3rd season of Australia baseball, his initial two seasons being 2015 and 2018. The infielder has played 88 games with an average of .289 and totaling 99 Hits and 7 Home Runs. Unroe will join the likes of Logan Wade, Wes Darvill, Gift Ngoepe and David Sutherland as our infielders for the 2020-21 season. Bandits Manager Davi...d Nilsson will have plenty of flexibility when it comes to selecting his line up. Unroe played 128 games in the MiLB in 2019 across three teams and will be looking to make an impact on the ABL from his first outing in the blue and yellow. 10.01.2022 Brandan Bidois will return for the Brisbane Bandits for his 2nd season in the ABL. Bidois has been part of the Bandits development program last season which saw him included in the team yet utilised sparingly visiting the plate 9 times over 6 games. Yet in September of this year, Brandan signed his first contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates after an outstanding performance at the recent U18 Baseball World Cup in Korea. In Bidois’ latest outing against World Number 1 Japan, he... threw 7 innings giving up just 3 hits and 1 earned run, getting the win and propelling Team Australia to the Bronze Medal game. Bidois ended the tournament with a 2-0 record and an impressive 1.38 era. We haven't seen Bidois on the mound for the Brisbane Bandits yet, but as Bandits Manager David Nilsson builds his bullpen we may see the likes of Bidois up against Australia's best in no time at all. The Brisbane native who grew up playing for the Windsor Royals and recently Pine Hills Baseball is a sign of the next generation of Bandits to represent the city of Brisbane and lead the way. Brown was signed by the Philadelphia Phillies in the third round of the 2014 First-Year Player Draft out of Pepperdine University. He started his professional baseball career as an Outfielder in yet shifted to Pitching in mid-2017. Brown has played 324 games in the MiLB and pitched in 105. The Brisbane Bandits aim to use Brown to bolster the bullpen for the 2020-21 season. It has been part of the Bandi...ts strategy to have unique left-handed pitching through the middle innings to keep the opposition guessing and Aaron Brown suits this strategy well. Goetzman was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 2nd round of the 2011 and has spent time in the Rays, Houston Astros and St Louis Cardinals systems. The Brisbane Bandits had their first taste of Goetzman in 2014 where he played 45 games for the Brisbane Bandits. During the season Granden batted .293 with 51 hits, 34 runs, 26 RBI's and 9 Home Runs.... The 28-year-old Philadelphian will bring a wealth of experience to the Brisbane Bandits, just shy of 600 MiLB games worth.
