22.01.2022 It's no longer when the bridge is erected - that happened today! yay! Woohoo! Fairly slow at times, but the ten huge culverts were craned onto the foundation slab without any dramas. Sadly there is still quite a lot of work to do to finish the bridge project, but that will come with time. At least we can start getting the two tracks back under the bridge along with safety fencing on the bridge itself - it would be a long way to fall from the top!

21.01.2022 We had a busy morning today. Managed to re-connect all the five inch gauge track except on length near the bridge. This will require re-work to mate with the new track under the bridge. Also there are sleepers to be attached, and probably levelling of the track base. I feel we are getting somewhere now.

17.01.2022 Somehow the 'complete' picture should hav been attached to yesterday's post.

13.01.2022 Yesterday was the first time a train managed to run under the bridge!!!! Even if it was only for work, with generator, welder etc, to join more track sections.

09.01.2022 When the bridge is erected, the track will be a slalom to allow clearance on each side of the train. Just to see how much curve is needed we have set down track to test the system. When will we be running again? Not for a while if selfish idiots keep lying at border crossings!

09.01.2022 Well we think we have the track layout through under the culvert sorted, with adequate clearance to the culvert corners, and clear of the heritage listed paperbark tree. We can now start to lay the circuit track down again for both the 7.25 inch track and the 5 inch track. Might take a few weeks though.

04.01.2022 As mentioned here previously we cannot run rides at the moment with government social distancing requirements. We will advise here when rides are available, but it will not be for quite a while we suspect.
