16.01.2022 FOUNDER’S DAY: Brisbane Boys’ College was founded by Mr Arthur (Barney) Rudd in 1902 and over the past 119 years the College has grown to be a school of rich an...d proud traditions. Symbols of our history are everywhere to be seen, such as the distinctive boater our boys wear, the pipes and drums which are heard at all significant occasions, our boarding, sporting and cultural history, all of which help to galvanise our inclusive community of students, Old Collegians, parents, staff and friends who share a deep affection for BBC and contribute to our story. Rudd’s vision was one of not only encouraging boys to excel in their academic, sporting and cultural endeavours, but also inspiring each student to realise his own potential. The College and its community have honoured Rudd’s vision by working to frame men of character and integrity who aspire to serve their communities and lead purposeful and fulfilling lives. Thank you to Old Collegian, Mr James Massey OAM (OC 1968) who addressed boys at our Junior, Middle and Senior School Founder’s Day assemblies. #GreenWhiteBlack

05.01.2022 SCHOLARS RETURN: Scholars from the Class of 2020 were welcomed back to the College for a special ceremony in recognition of their achievements in the academic a...rena. This long-standing tradition provided an opportunity for our BBC community to celebrate the graduates who achieved an ATAR of 95 or greater and to formally recognise the outstanding achievements of three scholars who received the highest possible ATAR of 99.95. Collegian Awards were also presented to 14 old boys in recognition of their dedicated commitment to the Academic, Spiritual, Competitive and Cultural life of the College. As we reflect on the achievements of our youngest Old Collegians, we trust that their accomplishments will motivate our current student to focus on their own academic goals. We wish our scholars every success in their future endeavours knowing that their time at BBC has instilled in them the knowledge, skills, faith, and wisdom to stride confidently into their future. 2020 Academic Results: www.bbc.qld.edu.au/news/class-of-2020-academic-results/ #GreenWhiteBlack #BeConfidentWithBBC
