04.01.2022 Wondering how the two person rule works? For a residence or household, the number of people allowed to gather in that house is limited to the usual members ...of that household, plus two other visitors who are family or close friends. Please only leave your home for essential reasons - we've commented them below Update: We've noticed a number of people asking two very important questions about this post: 1. Does this mean I can make a social visit? 2. Are my children included in this count. The answers are: 1. For this weekend and the foreseeable future, we recommend only leaving your house and visiting others for essential purposes, for example providing them with assistance or support such as bringing them groceries they cannot purchase themselves, helping with medical care or helping them with urgent household tasks they are unable to do themselves. 2. The Home Confinement Direction states that only two people who do not live in a residence may visit at one time. This includes children and infants. We understand this can be difficult for families, however this rule is in place to protect all members of our community from the spread of COVID-19.
