24.01.2022 Seasons Greetings to you all.

23.01.2022 News from Brisbane Chorale - December 2020 - https://mailchi.mp//news-from-brisbane-chorale-december-20

22.01.2022 Over the past couple of weeks we've been successfully rehearsing the Brahms Requiem using a small group of live singers with many others joining from home via Zoom. We’re excited and fortunate to be embarking on our next phase - face to face full in-person rehearsals starting this week in an appropriately spaced and well-ventilated venue. More to come as we embark on this new journey...

22.01.2022 We are glad that we are able to resume rehearsals this week. Due to COVID restrictions, it is not at our usual venue, but we nevertheless are extremely gratified that we can be together in a time when so many need the power and magic of music. Stay with us, as we are with you all. #musicunitespeopleWe are glad that we are able to resume rehearsals this week. 20.01.2022 We are back. Warming up before hitting Brahms...

20.01.2022 A German Requiem, Brahms’ largest work in any medium, is one of the most loved works in the classical repertoire, delivering a message of hope and compassion. Deeply human and uplifting, A German Requiem is not a traditional setting of the Latin Requiem mass for the dead. Instead, in creating this remarkable work, Brahms assembled particular texts from the bible focussing on the living, beginning with the words ‘Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted’. The w...ell-known movement ‘How lovely are thy dwelling places’ is the work’s centre-piece. Brahms himself conceived of this music as an offering for all humankind. The Brisbane Chorale is proud to present ‘Brahms: A German Requiem’ to audiences on two separate occasions (please note the different start times!). Sarah Crane, soprano Shaun Brown, baritone Sinfonia of St Andrew's Brisbane Chorale Emily Cox, conductor

20.01.2022 Don’t miss our much-postponed concert. It’s sounding great!
