25.01.2022 Livestream of the Communion Service held at BCF, Samford on 30th August, 2020. Word ministered by Andrew Hay "The Renewing of our Mind".

25.01.2022 Victor Hall and Peter Hay - Participating in the agape meal as a church In this present season, the Lord has been addressing our church movement regarding fellowship and the sacramental nature of our communion services. We have come to see that our sacramental perspectives and practices are contrary to the teaching of the apostle Paul. He taught that the communion meal is fellowship, or participation, in the offering of Christ.

24.01.2022 Today we are continuing on in the theme of how it is when we eat and drink the communion together. We participate in the communion meal from house to house by giving thanks to God through prayer and by expressing faith through confession and testimony in relation to the word of present truth. These four dimensions of fellowship (the word of present truth, the fellowship of offering, the breaking of bread and prayer) are foundational to the communion. This should be how it is when we meet together for church, and also when we meet house to house during the week.

23.01.2022 Livestream of the Communion Service held at BCF, Samford on 4th October, 2020. Word ministered by Vic Hall - "The good confession". In the course of his second missionary journey, the apostle Paul, accompanied by Silas, visited Derbe and Lystra in the province of Lycaonia. Here they encountered a young man named Timothy. The brethren in Lystra and Iconium spoke well of Timothy because of his faith and his ministry in the region. Paul commissioned Timothy to travel with him throughout Asia and to do the work of an evangelist. Act 16:1-3. 2Ti 4:5.

23.01.2022 Victor Hall and Peter Hay - Fellowship in the agape meal as a church In his letter to the Hebrews, the apostle Paul exhorted believers to their participation in the agape meal, writing, ‘And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.’ Heb 10:24-25.

22.01.2022 Peter Hay - Session 4 Take heed to yourselves and to the flock This is our fourth session on the letter that has been written to us concerning our fellowship as a church. In our session today we are going to consider Paul's instructions to the presbytery of the church to take heed to themselves. He said that this was fundamental to their capacity to care for the flock, among whom God has made them overseers.

22.01.2022 Peter Hays Bible Study on Thorny Ground from "The Steps of Salvation - Part 8" - Part 1

21.01.2022 Today we will take some time to focus on the communion. A few weeks ago we looked at the foundation of the breaking of bread, particularly looking at how we eat and drink in a worthy manner. Now we are going to take a couple of weeks to look at the communion itself, what it means to partake of the bread and wine, and how it is to be when we gather together for the communion.

20.01.2022 The New Covenant is not like the Old Covenant. The New Covenant declares a completely new way to live as Gods people. God Himself writes the New Covenant upon our heart by the Holy Spirit. 20.01.2022 Christ's eyes as a flame of fire In today's session we are going to commence a series of bible studies that are drawn from an open letter that Victor Hall, as part of the presbytery, has penned to our fellowship of churches. This letter which is both to the presbytery, and then from the presbytery to us all, is an exhortation to receive and to demonstrate the culture of fellowship that should characterise sonship in the body of Christ. In this session we will particularly focus on how Christ comes to us, and the response that we make as He comes to us with eyes as a flame of fire.

19.01.2022 The Holy Spirit is not just an important aspect of life as a Christian. The ultimate attainment of our sonship is entirely reliant on the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit. The New Covenant is the covenant of the Spirit. Hear more Sunday 9.15am AEST https://www.communion.bcf.org.au or https://www.facebook.com/BrisbaneChristianFellowship/

19.01.2022 A wise man once said, Dont tell me what you think; listen to God, then tell me what He thinks. His statement reminds us that our mind needs firm reference points as a foundation from which it can reason. Hear more Sunday from 10.45am AEST at communion.bcf.org.au

18.01.2022 Christ is our hope who has already entered the Presence behind the veil. We are able to flee to Him for refuge in the sanctuary. As we remain connected to Christ, we have an anchor for our soul in the Most Holy Place of Yahwehs fellowship. 18.01.2022 Keeping the Feasts with Unleavened Bread - Part 1 We've been rejoicing in the season of the Lord illuminating us to our participation in the communion house to house. Today we will look at the principle of leaven which speaks of the attitudes and behaviours that affect our participation in the communion so that the food and drink that we are consuming is changed from the table of the Lord to a different table. The keeping of the feasts of passover, which Paul exhorted all believers to do, is not just eating and drinking the communion. It requires us to rid our houses of leaven.

14.01.2022 Livestream of the Communion Service held at BCF, Samford on 27th September, 2020. Word ministered by Lachlan Perrin: "Following the Lamb to the springs of the water of life" In today’s notes, we are considering how the water of the word is ministered to us at each stage of Christ’s offering journey. Eph 5:26. Eze 36:25. In our previous writings, we have largely focused on the seven sprinklings of Christ’s blood, which were shed as a result of the sufferings that He experie...nced in each wounding event on the pathway to the cross. We note, however, the words of the apostle John, ‘For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world our faith. Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with water only, but with the water and with the blood.’ 1Jn 5:4-6. In this present season, there is an urgency in the Spirit for us to join the fellowship of Christ’s offering so that we are participants in His overcoming. See more

13.01.2022 Peter Hays Bible Study on "The Breaking of Bread". This is the fourth study in a series called "The Fellowship of the Church" in which Peter is ministering on the four foundations of fellowship of the church as outlined in Acts 2:42: "They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer".

13.01.2022 Victor Hall - Coming to Christ To ‘come to Christ’ is to be built as a living stone into a spiritual house. This house is the true temple and the expression of Christ’s fellowship, which is the fellowship of Yahweh. As it was in the days of David and Solomon, the temple is in the midst of the Jerusalem from above.

07.01.2022 Peter Hay - Session 5 Fellowship in the Presbytery In our session today we will be looking at the fellowship of the presbytery. From the writings of the apostle John we understand that this fellowship is to be the same fellowship that we all participate in. 1 Jn 1:3-4. We are to be in fellowship with the Father and His Son. That fellowship is the fellowship of the presbytery. This is where and how we are to live. The joy in these verses is the joy that is first expressed when the seed of God's word germinates in a believer's heart, and they're born of God.

07.01.2022 Peter Hays Bible Study on "The Apostles Fellowship". This is the third study in a series called "The Fellowship of the Church" in which Peter is ministering on the four foundations of fellowship of the church as outlined in Acts 2:42: "They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer".

06.01.2022 In today's session we will consider in more detail how we practically commune together house to house in our own houses, for communion. Let's begin with a question that many people have asked. If there is nothing special about the bread and the wine, and nothing supernatural is added to these elements to make them the communion, is it necessary to eat and drink together? The answer is of course we do! Unless we literally eat and drink together we do not have communion. When we meet together as firstfruits households for a meal in the name of Christ, Christ Himself is in the midst of us. The meal is a meeting point as we gather in the name.

04.01.2022 Livestream of the Communion Service held at BCF, Samford on 6th September, 2020. Word ministered by Bruce Mackay "The faith of Moses looking to the reward".

04.01.2022 Livestream of the Communion Service held at BCF, Samford on 13th September, 2020. Word ministered by David Baker "To Him Who Overcomes". In this season, the Lord has been speaking to us about our participation in the communion meal. We eat the bread as a participation in the body of Christ, and we drink the cup as a participation in the fellowship of His offering and sufferings. In the fellowship of Christs offering, the resurrection life of Christ is given to us to become our life. We know that His resurrection life is both our provision and our protection.

03.01.2022 Keeping the feasts with unleavened bread - part 2 Today we will consider the final two leavens that Paul mentioned in his letter to the corinthians. We are then going to talk about how we rid our lives and houses of leaven, both individually and in relation to others who come into our houses. Let's begin by reminding ourselves of the four leavens that we considered in our last session. They were the leaven of factionalism, the leaven of congregationalism, the leaven of religious sophistication, and the leaven of religious tradition. The fifth leaven that Paul raised with the corinthians was the leaven of malice and wickedness. 1 Cor 5:8...

02.01.2022 The evidence that we have received the illumination of faith will be more than our choice to turn in repentance. It is our choice to leave behind those things that we have turned away from. The one thing Paul did involved two actions! Reaching forward to the things that lie ahead requires us to forget those things which are behind.

02.01.2022 Peter Hay's Bible Study on "House to House Prayer". This is the seventh study in a series called "The Fellowship of the Church" in which Peter is ministering on the four foundations of fellowship of the church as outlined in Acts 2:42: "They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer". Today our session is on house to house (or corporate) prayer. This is the final session on the four foundations of ...fellowship. The key point to highlight as we begin is that prayer is a conversation in which we speak by faith in the fellowship of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The ground or context of this fellowship is holy ground. Paul described holy ground as the grace in which we stand. We receive our access to grace by the faith that we receive by hearing the word. Whether we're praying indivdually, as households or house to house, prayer is a fellowship. See more

01.01.2022 Word ministered by Bruce Mackay - The life and culture of true sons in the faith. During this current season, the Lord has focused our attention toward the four foundations of church life. These are essential for our participation as members of the body of Christ and maturity as sons in the faith: the apostles’ doctrine, the apostles’ fellowship, the breaking of bread and prayer. Act 2:42. In his first letter, John explained that our participation in these foundations is a participation in fellowship with the presbytery, whose fellowship is with the Father and the Son. 1Jn 1:1-3.
